3𝐫𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐕 :
After climbing out of the boats they clambered up a passageway in the rocks after Hagrid , coming out at last on the smooth damp grass . They walked up a flight of stone steps and crowded around a huge oak door .
Hagrid raised his gigantic fist and knocked three times on the castle door. The door swung open at once .
A tall , Black haired witch in emerald green robes stood there . She had a stern look on her face which told them this wasn't someone to cross .
" The first - years Proffesser McGonagall " said Hagrid .
" Thank you Hagrid , I'll take them from here " she said .
She pulled the door wide . The entrance hall was too big . The stone walls lit with flaming torches like the ones at Gringotts , ceiling being to high to make out and a magnificent marble staircase facing them which lead them to the upper floors .
They followed Proffesser McGonagall who led them to a small chamber .
"Welcome to Hogwarts " she said "The
start of term banquet will soon begin , but before that you'll be sorted into your houses . The sorting is very important because while you are at Hogwarts your house will be something like your family within Hogwarts . You will have classes with the rest of your house , sleep in your dormitory and spend free time in your house common rooms . "
" The four houses Gryffindor , Hufflepuff , Ravenclaw and Slytherin . Each house has its own noble history and has produced outstanding witches and wizards . While you are at Hogwarts , you triumphs will gain you points while your rule breaking will loose house points . And at the end of the year the house with the most number of points will win the House Cup , a great honour . I hope each one of you will be a great credit to whichever house become yours . "
" Sorting will take place in a few minutes infront of the whole school . I suggest smarten you as much as you can while you are waiting . I'll return when we are ready for you " said Proffesser McGonagall " Please wait quietly " and with that she left the chamber .
As soon as Proffesser McGonagall left the chamber a voice came among the crowds .
" It's true then what they were saying down the train , Harry Potter and
Y/N Connor have come to Hogwarts "
" My name Malfoy , Draco Malfoy " he said .
Ron gave a slight cough , no doubt trying to hide a snigger .
" Think my name's funny do you no need to ask yours red hair , freckles , and hand-me-down robes you must be a Weasley . "
Then he turned back to Harry and Y/N
" You'll find out that some Wizarding Families are better than other , you don't want to make friends with the wrong sort . I can help you out there "
He said holding out his hand .
" Well I think the Wizarding Families taught their child some manners I see none , maybe I'm mistaken then " snapped back Y/N nobody insulted the Weasley's they were like a second family to her.
Malfoy looked at her fir a second then glared then turned back to Harry .
" I think I can choose the wrong sort for myself thanks " Harry said coolly .
Y/N suppressed the urge of giving him a pat on his back .
Draco Malfoy didn't go red I instead a pink tinge appeared on his pale cheeks .
Malfoy was about to say something but Proffesser McGonagall was back she tapped his shoulder with a roll of parchment . Malfoy went back to were he was standing while Proffesser McGonagall said : " We are ready , the ceremony is about to
begin , form a line and follow me "
