Chapter 1: Insanity

*Just take a swan dive off the roof, Deku!*

*You can't become a hero without a quirk. Just become a police officer.*

*I'm sorry, Izuku.*

"I'm no good," Izuku thought as his hand shook over the door knob. He wished he made friends when he could, this was the first time he experienced this kind of outburst and no one was there to help him. Even in a bustling city, he couldn't help but hear only his choking voice and the drops of his tears as they fell.

"Damn it," he cursed. Deep down, he knows that he couldn't be a hero without a quirk. He recieved that comment a lot from people like Katsuki, but why did it affect him now? Is it because he's in solitude? Is it because he was targetted by a villain earlier? No, it was because of him.

**All Might.**

He gripped his notebook and brought it close to his heart, ripping a few pages off as he did. He furrowed his brows and gritted his teeth as tears flowed through his rosy cheeks. Only one sentence came into mind as he did this: All Might is a liar.

He slowly grew to despise him because he tricked him into believing that he could become just like him. He manipulated his feelings just for him to destroy and make fun of him. He bet that this was all just a silly game for All Might.

"Damn it!" he screamed as his voice strained. His body felt weak as he crumbled to the floor. What is his use now that he discovered that continuing on wouldn't affect a single person? What would Katsuki do if he was in Izuku's posifion? Katsuki always know what to do, right?

"Take a swan dive off the roof, stupid!"

Izuku could have sworn he heard Katsuki right there. His eyes widened and his body jumped at the statement his imagination made. "Y-yeah," Izuku mumbled. "I'll just... pray that I would have a quirk on my next life. T-that sounds promising!" A grin crept on his face as he steadily stood up. His body trembled as he walked towards the edge of the building.

"N-no one would notice if I suddenly disappeared, right? A-a-afterall, I'm n-nothing but a useless waste of space here on this planet." His throat felt dry, and his face wet as his hands trembled when he gripped the railing. Is this the last thing he'll experience in his short life? A sting in his heart and his freezing body?

Moments before he let go, a thought came into his mind. What would mom think of this? His eyes widened and a chuckle was let out. "Kehe~" His mother would thank the heavens that the burden of living with a quirkless son has been lifted off her shoulders.

Izuku has fallen into insanity.
