Chapter 5: Deku

TW: Excessive Cursing

"Tch, why do I have to go buy the fucking groceries 'ya old hag?! Shouldn't dad over there buy the stupid shits?" Katsuki yelled from the living room to the kitchen.

"'Yer dad's on his day fucking off today, bitch. He demands rest and he will get that rest. Sheesh, I wonder where you got that disrespectful attitude of yours," his mother retorted.

In the middle of this conversation sits Katsuki's father who smiled grimmly as he thought to himself who could have passed such genes to their lovely son. "Now now, let's not fight over such trivial matters," he quietly mummbled before being shouted at by both of them.

"Shut it, motherfucker!" yelled Katsuki.

"Shut it, bastard!" yelled the mother. "Also, don't you dare call your fucking father a motherfucker, 'ya got that?!"

"Hah?! Why scold me for that you old hag?! You also called him a fucker!" retorted Katsuki as he stood up from the couch and pointed at his mother.

"Hah?! Where'd 'ya get that from?! I called him bastard not a motherfucker, bitch!"

This altercation between mother and son went on for almost an hour before Katsuki's mother threatened Katsuki that she would not let him apply to UA. Katsuki now couldn't decline his mother's orders. He grudgingly killed the bacteria and germs in his mouth and changed his clothes to go out and buy groceries.

One couldn't help but wonder what was going on inside Katsuki's head as he ventured through the streets. He recalled the last moment he saw Izuku. He was telling him to go kill himself. He now couldn't feel anything but guilt as he thought of what Izuku probably did that caused his disappearance.

"Tch, that idiot," he cursed as he violently placed his hands in his pockets. "Did he actually do that?" Wasn't Izuku the type of person who would never submit to such negativity? Wasn't Izuku the type of person to always believe that he could do this and that with no repercussions at all? Wasn't Izuku... going to become a hero just like him?

He thought he knew Izuku well enough to know what he was thinking. Izuku regarded Katsuki as a childhood friend and not a bully, perhaps that was the reason why Izuku did that? But no, there is still no proof that Izuku actually committed suicide. Katsuki brushed off that theory from his mind.

Whether Izuku treated Katsuki as a bully or a friend, Katsuki still thinks that Izuku wouldn't be foolish enough to actually try and commit seppuku. Katsuki might have had a tinge of hatred towards Izuku but he still doesn't want him to go away.

Katsuki had high expectations from Izuku and this all seemed to fall down as he discovered Izuku's disappearance. He couldn't help but feel bummed about the situation, he doesn't want that idiot to die right there and then. He wanted him to live. That's why, he felt overjoyed when he suddenly heard the same voice that spouted nonsense in class before. The same voice that trembled as Katsuki threatened him. The same... voice...

"Deku?" Katsuki called out.

In the middle of the crowd, a green haired teenage boy revealed himself. His hair was as messy as ever and his clothes were as black as the night. A lot... has changed, Katsuki noted. He wasn't sure if that boy was Izuku or not, but when he called out the nickname he gave him, the boy turned around to see if anyone was calling him.

He started to loose hope again, until he saw the bright red shoes this bubbly person wore almost every single day. It was really Izuku, Katsuki thought. He tried to chase him down the busy street but he lost his way to him. Adult men gathered around him and pushed him away from Izuku.

It's almost as if the whole world is against Katsuki.

Katsuki tried to fight back, but it was no use. He was helpless, like that time where he almost died in an incedent. All Might hadn't come to rescue him, it would have been much easier if he was there. The police and other heroes had trouble solving the problem. The operation took 3 hours and the sludge villain managed to escape too via the canal system.

Katsuki immediately brushed off that thought and went back to catching up with his late friend. He managed to get out of the crowd and stalk them inside a convinence store. Katsuki hid behind one of the columns and listened to their conversation.

"Hey Izuku~ Are you planning to go to UA? That prestigious school?" a blonde female asked him. This only confirmed the theory that Izuku was alive and well, but why hasn't he returned to his home yet?

Izuku nodded and took several cup noodles as he placed it into his basket. "Mhm, it **was** my dream to go to that school. I didn't really think it was possible back then but now, I have Akaguro with me. I'm not just doing this for myself but for him too. He was the one who gave me new life afterall."

Akaguro...? Katsuki asked himself as he peered into their conversation. Katsuki made a mental note to make sure that he would research on this man when he gets home, because for some reason, that Akaguro man changed Izuku in a grand scale. He must be some kind of big shot.

Katsuki listened to their conversation again, but he jumped as soon as the blonde noticed something strange. "Hey, Izuku," she mumbled as she tipped her toe to match Izuku's height. She cupped her hands and whispered into his ear. "Someone's listening to us." She glanced unto where Katsuki was. Her cold piercing eyes met his, as he trembled and felt scared.

What the fuck was that? It felt like... his life was in danger. It felt like... she was out to kill him in cold blood. Although Katsuki may not seem very heroic, he was still in the morally good side of the spectrum. He was geniunely concerned for Izuku, who knows what that girl is planning to do to him.

He reached out his hand, attempting to save Izuku but he freezed when Izuku looked at his way. His bright bubbly eyes, his soft freckled skin, it was all the same yet... he didn't recognize who he was.

"Deku?"
