A black universe. All stars but a few have died, succumbed to the darkness of the Galaxy. Little crystals, floating around in space, fragile but billions of years old. Dying stars and planets, shards wandering through the emptiness that is a dead universe.

But there, when you look close enough, you can see smoke. Violet, reddish smoke, floating around between the dead. See, it's the immortal.

The immortal soul that had been tortured for millions of years. Seeing the universe itself die, right before their eyes. Humans always wish that they had more time. Be immortal, undying.

But this creature, with broken eyes, deeply regrets their wish for the endless life.

Their body, a mere cloud of dust, shows signs of a human Form - arms and torso, a masculine looking head. Fingers with sharp edges, claws even. Their legs seem more like those of a devil, a mixture of a veloceraptor and a salamander. The slowly disintegrating legs of the creature move around, wandering through the empty space. Their eyes focusing on the shards, a cloud of violet around them. They gave a piece of their soul to them, to keep what little was left of the universe with them.

The creature realized too late that they made a huge mistake by wishing to be immortal. But now, it was too late.

A clink. The creature had learned to see Soundwaves, looking in fear at the blue crystal. It had begun to crack, like an egg that was about to hatch. But instead of a new life, it brought death.
"no!" the immortal said without sound or movement, wrapping carefully their black fingers around the little stone.

Violet dust came off their fingers, trying to fill in the cracks like glue.

But it had already started. The immoral prayed that they would be able to fix it, desperately trying to tie the little stone together.

Still, the being felt the cracks in one dimension, heart shattering. They prayed that they could fix it before it was too late.

"DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW HARD YOUR MOTHER WORKS HER ASS OFF EVERY FUCKING DAY FOR YOU TO GET YOUR DAMN EDUCATION AND YOU THROW IT AWAY LIKE TRASH!? YOU'RE AN UNGRATEFUL, USELESS FUCKING DISAPPOINTMENT, THAT'S WHAT YOU ARE, FAGGOT!"

After the creature managed to wrap the crystal around in a heart string of themselves, they sighed before letting the bound blue go. It floated around, his heart string glowing and glueing it together again.

"Everyone deserves to be cared for. You deserve to be cared for. And I'm not going to leave you, Katsuki. You might not see it, but you're worth keeping. Don't say that stuff only because you were a jackass that couldn't express his feelings properly. Everyone makes mistakes and it's more than obvious that you regret doing it. You're worth having a chance to change, you deserve the ability to rest, to sleep, to have a place to stay. Do you understand, Katsuki?"

The creature turns around, their eyes floating around. Their legs had slowly began to shit into a fishtail, merging together to make movements easier. Horns, nearly invisible, reached up to a little x over their head. They had tried to break it multiple times, but never succeeded.
Swimming around in the darkness, the immortal stared down, far far away.

The tiniest bit of light sparkled down there, but no matter how long they went down, the stars never came closer. They were cursed to live in their own universe, for the end of time.

Until then, they tried to take care of all the little Dimensions that still were alive, pulling their heart-strings out to fix the broken Shards.

The violet glow around the immortal was the only light, they were alone. But sometimes, when he repaired the crystals, they could feel something. A little word, an emotion. A movement, an interaction.

The creature knew that these dimensions were still alive, and that he was responsible for them to stay that way.

And even if they would be stuck in that dying world forever, the immortal could surely wait for another supernova to come and bring new life into the darkness.

Until then, they would simply protect the ones that hadn't faded yet.

And their heart broke everytime a crystal fell apart beyond repair.

A white and black one just had disenegrated before their eyes. Particels got swallowed from the empty, taking it forever away. Silently mourning, the immoral swam around the darkness, looking for lost crystals.

The broken Shards that got away.

The creature collected them to make new dimensions, pulling as many strings as possible to stabilize the new world.

If they bathed the Shards in their violet light between their hands, the creature could even look inside.

They had found out that a shard breaking meant a cut in the dimension, causing death or mistakes in said world.

They heard a shattering sound and turned around. An entire world just broke apart. Eyes wide of Schock, the creature dashed towards it, but to no avail. It was gone, forever lost to the empty.

Well, this is kinda a crossover. The being that is responsible for all the AU's is an immortal being in a dying universe. Who would've thought.

880 words.
Kinda short but yk.

Unus annus.
Memento mori.
