The ground he was kneeling on was cold. His arms tied behind his back, the metal caging in his hands and preventing him from using his quirk. A gag and a blindfold left only his hearing sense, hypersensitive to every drop of water falling into a puddle next to him. The heavy chain around his neck was connected to his arms and legs, making it impossible to get up. His ankles had been tied together, spreading his thighs apart. His teared up hero costume prevented most of the rough ground from wounding his skin, but he was sure that it wouldn't last long until it had grazed itself through the fabric.
The hero held his head down, blonde hair falling into his face as he struggled in the chain. He couldn't remember what had happened in the past few hours, nor could he remember where he was. The room smelled stale, a resemblance with a basement.
Memories of his kidnapping flooded back in, making him struggle even more, ripping on his chains and desperately trying to use his quirk.
"It has no use, Hero."
The sudden voice made him jump, the clinking of his chains continuing, now even stronger. Katsuki could detect the voice coming from the opposite side of the room, standing above and looking down at his bruised body. Cursing through the gag, he tried to swallow down the spit before he could choke on it. The only thing coming out of his mouth were muffled groans, inaudible words mixing with spit.
Even though he had a blindfold on, he could tell that the villain was grinning. "What? I can't understand you, hero. You have to speak clearly."
The echoing of him walking closer sent shivers down the hero's spine, hardening his stance as he tried to think of any way he could possibly escape this situation. Out of nowhere, a kick straight to his head sent him yanking to the right, busting his lip open and nearly rippig out some teeth. He tried to cough up the blood, only choking on the gag and feeling the warm liquid run down his face. His body repulsed at the taste of his own blood, trying, again and again, to push it out of his throat.
"How pretty you look, all beaten up."
Katsuki retreated his head, internally gagging at the comment. The hero still kept on ripping on his chains, feeling his neck get ripped up as he rammed down his arms, the thick chain connecting the cuffs only making his choking worse.
"You can try all you want, hero, they're not going to break."
"tch," he spat, still ripping on them, frustration slowly sinking into his mind. Clawlike fingers ripped on his hair, grabbing it and yanking it back so he was facing the Villain. Katsuki slowly recognized his voice, a wave of panic and pain rushing through his heart. Red.
The hero had visibly tensed up, his eyes gazing through the blindfold as if he could look at his scarred face. His hand was still holding onto the hair, keeping him from moving his head completely. A deep chuckle sounded.
"You remember me, Katsuki?"
Struggling through the gag, the hero backed out of his grip, shaking his head to get his hands off him. The pain he had to go through because of him, the scars he had to wear on his skin every day. Ground Zero had never forgiven him, but simultaneously never forgot the almost undying love he had once felt for the Villain.
