Octavia and I have been bickering non-stop for a while now. Everyone in camp is getting quite annoyed with us. Octavia keeps throwing insults at me, and I try my best to ignore it. I'm pretty sure she's doing this because she knows I despise Lincoln.
"What would Lilly say?!" She yells at me. Now Octavia went to far.
"Lilly's gone." I snap back at her. "Don't talk about her again." Lilly was my girlfriend back on the Ark. She was floated for a crime that she did to help people. Including helping me.
"Yeah, well she loved you, Bellamy! She died for you!" Octavia yells, and I can feel tears in my eyes. "And now, now you're just screwing any girl that crosses your path."
"Octavia, if I could bring Lilly back, I would." I say quietly.
"I'm not sure she'd want to come back, seeing what you've done." Octavia spits before leaving the drop ship.
I sit on a corner and put me head in my hands. "I'm sorry, Lil." I whisper, a stray tear sliding down my cheek.
"It's ok," her quiet voice whispers in my ear. It's soothing, yet creepy at the same time. "It's ok."
"Lil?" I ask the air.
"You're ok." Lilly whispers again. "It'll all be ok in the end, remember?"
I remember.
"Hey Lil?" I raise my voice as I enter her apartment on the Ark.
"Go away, Bellamy." Lilly's muffled voice answers.
I walk into her bedroom, and see her feet poking out from beneath covers. "I said, go away." She repeats, pillows and blankets muffling her soft voice.
I sit next to her, and pull back the covers slightly, so it reveals her face. Her wavy red hair covers one side of her face; her bright green eyes filled with sadness.
"What's wrong, Lil?" I ask, brushing the red hair from the side of her face.
"Everything's wrong." Lilly replies. "How I steal medicine is wrong; how you're still my friend is wrong; how they treat Waldenites is wrong."
"I'll always be your friend, no matter what, Lilly. Promise." I say, and she smiles, but just for a second.
"I shouldn't have to steal medicine, though." She says, sitting up. "I get that I have to steal for Octavia, because, you know, she's illegal to have, but your mother and my mother should get medicine when they're sick. If a person from Phoenix got sick, they'd give them all the medicine they have." Lilly frowns.
"I know. Life's not fair." I say, and kiss her forehead. She sticks her tongue out at me. "It'll all be ok in the end, though."
"Oh, now don't turn all sappy on me, Blake." Lilly says, grinning.
"Is this sappy?" I say, and kiss her quickly.
"No, I think that's alright." She says and laughs. She kisses me slowly, and I can't believe that after five years of knowing Lil, I only realize now that I love her.
