Kris's PoV.

It is still working hours and I'm supposed to be at the office doing some paperwork that is delayed but something about those Krasnaya scums isn't right, we have been interrogating them for a whole month, but they won't say a word about who their leader is ... We even tried to bribe them with a reduction of their sentence... but still, no answer. I personally have three theories, the first one is that their believes are their priority, second one is that they are under a mind control or brainwash, and last, but not least, the leader is not among them, and I think is the third option, that's what my guts tell me, even though my guts have fooled me over the past two years that I've been working in this case, this time feels different, that's why I'm on my way to the abandoned house where we found them.

I'm standing in front of the gate with a flashlight in my hand, it will be impossible to see something without some source of light because the windows are covered with wooden planks and the power is cut off. When I'm about to go inside the house my phone rings.

— Hey what's up — my partner called me. He's name is Sean; he is 45 years old and used to be the captain when I started working but because of a bad decision he made when the Krasnaya first appeared, he was demoted and now he works with me as my partner. He is a really good man and a very insightful person.

— Where are you, man?

— I'm in the old house where we found the scums, I'm about to get in, something... something smells wrong, I need to check this place again.

-—See you there? —He said with a voice that sounded like he is about to come running.

— No, don't worry Sean, I just need to check something, what really will help is if you do some of the paperwork, pretty please?

- Are you kidding me? Do I really have to stay here filling a lot of paper and closing stupid cases while you keep all the fun to yourself? That's not fair! — I really don't know why he was a captain before; he really loves being on the field.

— I just need to check something ok? it won't take long, I'll see you there in a while and I'll tell you if I find something interesting, deal? Just help me with the paperwork you know I hate it.

—Alright, but you owe me.

— Beer, when we're done, my treat. — I said.

— Now we're talking! — He said enthusiastically, and then he hanged up.

There are yellow police tapes surrounding the perimeter of the house because it is still under investigation. This is a very old house; it was built two hundred years ago by Baltou Bürnisch. He was a descendant of a noble family from the days of the Great Kingdom. The historian says he was a very lonely man, he had no wife nor kids, his parents died when he was really young and he inherited everything from his family, he never worked, therefore he never had a social life, but, once a year he threw a massive party, and his guests were the most important people from the country. When he died the house and all the lands within five miles from it was taken over by the government, and thirty years ago was sold to a woman named Vanyah Smirvk who is now disappeared and we have no records of her in the police data base nor the government's, not even an ID. We just count with her name and her signature on the house papers.

As expected from an old building without the proper maintenance for years, the house looks like something out of a horror movie, a hunted house. The walls are moldy and the paint is so worn that you can hardly see the color they used to have and many of them are cracked from the ceiling to the bottom. The floor looks scratched and is stained by dirt that has not been cleaned over the years. The windows are broken and covered with wood planks, which doesn't allow the entry of light.
There is a lot of dust and garbage all over the floor also, old furniture and clothes, that according to our experts, are around two hundred years old, therefore it is assumed that they belonged to Bürnisch. But the most shocking thing we found here is the Blood Room. We gave the name in accordance to what we found and witnessed, a whole bunch of people killing a kid in cold blood. Her name was Maya, when we arrived, the Krasnaya scums were in the middle of a human sacrifice ritual, and this little girl, was their offering. Besides that, we found dead bodies under the wooden floor, all of them were female. I have to fix this; I have to bring justice to those poor families whose daughters were slaughtered. But I can't find anything, I look around and everything is just the same as I left it last time I came here.

Ready to go back to the office, I realize something, the room on my right wasn't there last time "how... how's that even possible?"— I said to myself as I enter the room. There's nothing inside, which is the weirdest because the house is full of garbage, and this place is just empty. But I hear a whisper in my head, and I can smell it, I can smell the trace of magic, there is essence hidden, and that's good news, because I'm the only one capable of revealing it. So, there's only one thing left to do. I put away my gun, I open my hands and lower my arms, finally I close my eyes and breathe.

— REVEALESSENZE

When I cast the spell instead of finding a lead, I find another puzzle. Words are appearing written on the wall but I can't understand it, that's not Kramianense, nor Acient Kramyash, not even any other language at all.

— I can't read this, gonna take pictures to take it to the experts and the historian. —I said outloud, and immediately, my phone rings, it is Sean. When I take my phone out of my pocket I kind of move my feet because I lost balance and in that moment I step on something, something shiny and red, a shiny red object?

—Are you done with the paperwork? Wanna go get that beer? —I said when I answered the phone and at the same time, I was picking up the red shiny object. It was a necklace with a V shaped pendant and a red stone in the center. I believe it is a Kram Stone, but I'm not sure because no one has seen one in years, you can't even find this in a museum.

— Hey man, don't get mad, but there's something I have to tell you — he said.

—What happened? —I said without paying too much attention because I was examining the necklace.

—Well, one of the Krasnayas confessed to be the leader. Captain Russell is closing the case.

— What!? How dare Lilly close my case! That's my case! She has nothing to do with this! She can't do that! — I don't care about the necklace anymore. This can't be happening; I've been working on this case for two years.

—Kris, she is the boss, she can close it, and she is doing it. She told me to call you, and wants you to come here right now. —I'm furious, because I know she'll get what she wants, it has always been like that. But this... this is different, why does she want to close it right now? I'm not even there. This will get pretty ugly. I take a look at the necklace, put it on a sterilized zip bag and then, into my pocket.

— I'm on my way.
