Chapter 8: The Need

Arya's PoV

The woman is holding me in her arms, she's agitated, I can hear her heartbeat. Her arms are warm as the hot air summer brings, but a better comparison, are those memories of an afternoon picnic days which now are gone and will never come back, our future is broken. The men in armors are still chasing us... people are dying, I can hear their screams, they are being murdered by those men, by him... death is at the door.
We entered the dungeon, it is all red, with written words on the walls, and write in the center of the room there is a giant Red Essence Sphere; the woman falls on her knees, but I'm sill in her arms, she's crying. The woman lets us go only to tell me and the boy on my left to hold our hands tight and never let it go.

I'm here June — the man came back, he's voice calms my nerves — Now, you know what to do, cast the spell, I'll finish the ritual. — He said.

L'ESSENZE IST LE FLUSS, LE FLUSS IST LE SANG, URJOD IN DEM, WAS GESEHEN WIRD, VERBIRGT VOIT — The woman casts the spell only for me to start crying. I see the man coming to me, this is the last time, I know... When he leans to get closer to my face his necklace comes out of his shirt, that v-shaped necklace he always wears, I guess it will never be mine... he kisses me on my forehead and I cry.

—Don't forget, my baby girl, we are today a reflection of what we will be tomorrow.

I suddenly open my eyes, agitated, as always and as always, the same dream...

— I knew it! I knew I've seen that necklace before! —I yelled. I get up from to find the necklace which I remembered I left it on the nightstand before I left to the party, speaking of which, what the hell happened last night? After that weird no-fire explosion everyone started to scream and then the host kicked everybody out and called the police... "it is not here" I can't find it, I swear I left the necklace here last night.
I go downstairs to ask my mom if she's seen it, I remember she asked me about it yesterday when I was taking a shower, maybe she liked it and she wanted to wear it. I go towards the kitchen but she's not there, "she might be in the backyard" I open the kitchen backdoor that leads to the backyard, only to see my mom sitting on her spot, she loves that couch.

— 'Morning mom! —I say to my mom, but she doesn't turn in my direction.

—'Morning, baby, did you sleep well?

— Yeah... hey, uhm... have you seen my new necklace? I can't find it.

—What necklace honey? — her voice is trembling.

— The one my brother gave me; you saw it yesterday remember?

— No baby, I haven't seen it. — weird, maybe I worn it yesterday to go to the party but I don't remember doing so.

— Thanks anyway mom, I'm gonna keep looking for it.— I need to find it, I just need to.

I turn around and start heading towards the door when I see there are some empty beer cans in the backyard's trash, "that's weird, mom can't drink... was my brother here last night?"- I think to myself.

—Mom? Did my Kris come here last night?— he only comes on Sundays, but well, since he's suspended maybe he got bored.

—Your brother? No, he didn't, why? — when my mom said this, I immediately knew she's hiding something, and she's lying, she can't drink beer, it causes her a terrible allergic reaction, "this is pissing me off, I need to see my brother."

— No, nothing — she's hiding something and my brother is involved in the lie too, I need to find out what it is, and if she's lying, I'm gonna lie to her too. - Hey, mom, by the way, I'm going out, I'm meeting amber in a coffee shop, see you later! - I'm going to pay my brother a visit.

Kris's house is a block and a half away from my house so I'll be there in just a minute, but I have a weird feeling which gets stronger with every step I take towards his house... like something calling me... no, not calling me... dragging me, it feels exhausting, but at the same time is addicting, this feeling... the necklace... it is the necklace that's what's dragging me.
I'm at my brother's, just about to knock on the door when an anger takes control over me and just open it with a bang only to find my brother having breakfast on the living room who jumped on his seat with my sudden-not knocking entrance.

-—What are you doing here?! —he yells. - and don't you know you to knock? — "knock? Knock he says, polite ways are reserved for innocents!"

—WHERE IN COSMOS IS MY NECKLACE?!— I can't think straight, I have so much rage withing me and a urge to find the necklace that I'm capable of anything.

—I don't know what you are talking about! — he says to me only to make angrier.

—Yes, you do! Don't play dumb with me! I KNOW YOU AND MOM ARE HIDING IT HERE! I CAN FEEL IT! —I yelled, and after this I lost control of myself and started braking everything around... then everything went black.

Kris's PoV

All of this is too much to process... all the truth about my father, his power, and who he really was is driving me crazy... "Arya little sis' I'll do my best" I have to protect her, now that I know all the consequences, and the danger... "well, not gonna think about it for now, I'll just finish my breakfast and then I'll visit mom". Out of nowhere, my sister suddenly opens the front door and I jump on my seat startled.

— What are you doing here?! —I yell at her — and don't you know you to knock? -— what is she doing! Who enters someone's home without knocking?!

— WHERE IN COSMOS IS MY NECKLACE?!— "how did she know"? "Did mom tell her"? "no, I doubt it, she asked me to hide it until I find a way to destroy it." She is inraged, I almost don't recognize her, this is not her.

—I don't know what you are talking about!

— Yes, you do! Don't play dumb with me! I KNOW YOU AND MOM ARE HIDING IT HERE! I CAN FEEL IT! — "Is she like this because of the necklace?!" Her eyes went red, and veins are popping out, she starts looking around the apartment and breaking everything on her way.

-—HAVE YOU GONE CRAZY!? YOU ARE BREAKING MY STUFF! STOP RIGHT NOW!— Arya suddenly stops but she seems off, this is not her it is like something has taken over her body

—if you want me to stop- she said in a lower tone —GIVE ME MY NECKLACE!!!— She starts pulling her hair and then she screams like a crazy person.

—I already told you I don't have it, Arya!!!

—LIAR!!! — she yelled and immediately starts scratching her face with her nails and right when I was about to grab her to stop this nonsense the door suddenly opens only to see mom standing there.

—Oh!! Look who has just arrived! The biggest liar! What? DID YOU COME TO GIVE ME THE NECKLACE!?- Arya yelled at mom.

— Don't talk to me like that, Arya! —mom is pissed off, I've never seen mom like this.

—Or what?

—Arya!- mom yelled

— Are you gonna give me the necklace or DO I HAVE TO TAKE THIS WHOLE DAMNED HOUSE DOW TO FIND IT?! — Arya starts braking more of my stuff but... she is not touching any of it... this...this is madness. I look at mom, her face is looking down, and her fists are tight, when she looks up I can see a bluish light on her eyes...

— Alright, Arya, you asked for it— said my mom

Mom casted the spell and Arya lies unconscious on the floor.
