"Sure, I'll help you." These were the words that the girl said after hearing the favor that her friend, Kayo, needed assistance with: It was her master's wedding and she couldn't accomplish tasks alone due to her child-like behavior and laziness.
The girl had known Kayo for quite a while. The girl with the beauty spot would normally run some errands in the store where the pearled girl's parents worked, so it was common for them to establish a conversation.
Shinju sighed before putting on a smile. She liked to do errands for her friends, but she knew that this task in particular would take a lot of effort and energy. When Kayo listened to the words that Shinju spoke, agreeing to her petition, she immediately left the store to notify her masters about another girl helping.Of course, Kayo's masters were a bit upset about Kayo's sudden information and having to take care of another "servant" for that day, but alas, they accepted the help, knowing that at the end of the day, they wouldn't have to pay Shinju.
The day went by and the pearled girl finished her tasks in the store such as cleaning, sending and welcoming products, or settling things. She went to sleep early since she had to wake up just before the sun rose and go to her friend's workplace and household. The pearls that were decorating her hair were placed neatly in a box and hidden under her mattress, leaving wavy locks in the dark as the night hair. As she closed her eyes, she sensed that something would go wrong, but before she could think about what could it be or what she could do, she fell asleep.

The sun started to rise, but Shinju didn't wake up, not until her mother came into her room angrily.
"Shinju, what are you doing still asleep?!" Screamed the old woman as her daughter woke up from the sudden noise.
"Mother! You know that I have a sensitive sense of hearing, so don't shout!" The girl replied, covering her ears from the screams.
Silence slowly crept. Shinju's mom left the room as she saw the girl getting ready for the busy day ahead of her. Shinju styled her hair once again and tied it up with pearl ornaments. She put on a more simple kimono, not wanting to bedraggle her more formal and colorful ones. It took her a while until she found her shoes, but in the end, she was still a bit late.
With sleepiness being her principal emotion, she began the journey to Kayo's workplace. Fifteenth minutes passed and she saw the house that her friend was talking about. It seemed that everyone was sleeping, so when she got there, she stood at the gates for a while. Since there was no activity inside the household, she proceeded to smirk devilishly, knowing what her next move would be. Shinju adjusted her shoes and kimono as she began to climb up the gate, making almost no sound. When she touched the ground, she arranged her clothing again. The calm, charming and polite gal disappeared again to make some mischievousness. That was her daily life as a common prankster in her hometown, and nobody had caught her yet.
Her face soon turned angelic again, putting on a charming and innocent smile before entering the place. It wasn't her first time breaking into homes, so she knew that she had to be very careful and study the room before going into another one. Her inaudible steps were moving in the corridors, opening some doors to check what was inside. It took her some time, but she finally found the room where her friend was sleeping. But of course, Kayo wasn't the only one that Shinju was able to descry resting. Her heart was already racing after seeing some people sleeping peacefully. She closed the door behind her and entered the bedroom. Shinju inspected everything in the room and changed once again her face into a smirk.
