Junko Furuta (古田順子) was a Japanese high school student. She was born on January 18, 1971. She lived with her parents and two brothers in Misato, Saitama, Japan.
Throughout her life, she attended three schools: Misato Shiritsu Takasuhigashi Elementary School (三郷市立高洲東小学校), Misato Shiritsu Minami Junior High School (三郷市立南中学校), and Yashio Minami High School (八潮南高等学校).
She was a very serious student, with her grades being top class. She also only missed 1-2 days through her three years of high school. In middle school, she was part of the school's tennis team.
In October 1988, Junko got a part time job at a plastic factory. She'd work two days a week and was saving up money for graduation trips. She also had gotten approved for a job at an electronics store, where she was set to work after graduating, in April 1989.
She was very beautiful and popular with classmates, neighbors, and at work. She was said to be a bright and active girl with a kind and polite personality. She never drunk, smoked, or done drugs as well.
