The next few weeks went by pretty quickly. Tom and I set up the nursery and made an ultrasound appointment to find out the gender of our bundle of joy. We still hadn't told anyone yet but we were going to after the ultrasound appointment in two days.
I was about 17 weeks along at this point and my bump was much more noticeable. My morning sickness was relatively manageable and my food cravings were constant and annoying. I had nearly concerned Tom when I ate a big bowl of salad with chicken for lunch earlier that day.
The baby hadn't kicked yet but I did feel them move around a teensy bit. I looked at Tom, he was grinning. "What?" I giggled, facing him completely on the bed. "You're literally glowing, darling. I didn't think you could get any prettier." I playfully shoved him, "You're just saying that because I'm carrying your child." He scooted towards me and rested his head in my lap. "No, I genuinely believe that. I love you so much Kare bear." I looked down at him and smiled, "You're too sweet sometimes, my love. I love you too." He kissed my stomach and relaxed.
He looked so handsome at this angle, I gently ran my fingers through his hair. "Please don't stop." He mumbled cutely so I continued to rake my fingers through his hair. I felt so peaceful with him, wanting nothing more than to spend every day like this. I was truly happy in my life. Tom made life so much better, he was the absolute best.
