Scarlet (pov)

We were on our way back once again in a comfortable silence with the radio on low. Carson was looking alot calmer now not at all like the serious even intimidating guy thats always stone faced. As if his hearing my thoughts he glanced at me with a soft smile which I returned. Soon were back in town my phone vibrates alerts me of a text from Em. Reading it i cant help but roll my eyes smiling shaking my head. Carson raises an eyebrow to which I just shrugged. Suddenly a black car cut infront of us making Carson slam the brakes the force making the seatbelt tighten across my chest. Carson was checking if I was ok when the doors of the black mustang opened and a tall man in black got out walking towards us. "Stay in the car Scarlet." he says releasing his seatbelt.
I wanted to tel him no way but the words wouldn't come out. I heard all the doors lock when Carson shut the doors. The man in black has stopped right in front of the truck a twisted smirk on his face his eyes still hidden in the darkness of the rim of his hat.But I imagined them dark maybe even black. Carson was in front of him in a flash literally. I blinked twice not believing my eyes.

He raised his hand and Carson was on the ground holding his head. Then turning to me his lips moved but I couldn't hear him clearly it was almost like a chant.

The doors of the car suddenly opened. I dont know why but I rushed outside kneeling besides Carson that was laying unconscious. Looking up he was staring at me. "What did you do to him?"

"Just put him to sleep now its your turn." I stared at him in horror as he raised his hand chanting something I thought was latin before everything went black.

Carson (pov)

We were driving down the mainroad of town when I looked in the rear view mirror. A black mustang was tailing us and was being way to obvious about it. Normally I wouldn't be worried but my senses was tingling "danger" my wolf concluded pacing. I glanced at Scarlet to see if she noticed too but she just smiled then her phoned vibrated breaking her stare.

The jerk then passed us only to cut us off causing me to slam the brakes. First I checked if Scarlet was ok before I locked the doors then got out.

But as soon as I did and that scent hit me I saw red. "Hunter."

When he stopped in front of the truck I thought its now or never using my speed I advanced on him to snap his head but I soon realized my mistake when I hit something like a force field then my head felt like it wanted to explode falling on my knees my last thought was 'warlock.'

wa hahaha sorry for the short chapter but this is just a filler for a long action packed one things are finally happening peepz, wattpadies/my dear readers.
