I wanted to know more about this old partner. I wanted to know who this special person was and I wanted to thank them for being there for Irene. I was really curious.

"Her name was Taeyeon." I recognised the name. She called out to her when they were in the hospital. She begged Taeyeon not to leave her again. 

I felt a little mad at this girl, but I also didn't because I know how much Irene loved her old partner. She continued.

Story Irene POV

We were like sisters. She was in the police department before I was. When I joined the apartment at age 22, she was 25. She was really happy and really energetic. 

She would always know how to cheer people up when they were feeling down. When I first joined, I wasn't cold like I was to you, I was just shy and people saw me as intimidating because of my resting face. 

They always thought I was mad or annoyed and none of them wanted to approach me. When I joined, I told Lisa my rank.

"Baechu?"

"Hmm?"

"What rank were you when you were in the academy?" I saw her smile and I still melted when she smiled.

"I was ranked 1 at the academy. When I joined the department, I was ranked second." I nod and let her continue her story.

Story

After I told Lisa my rank, she immediately smiled and showed me to my desk. The desk that I still use today. 

I sat down and as soon as I sat down, I started to work on my project. While I was working, I saw a piece of paper fly by me. I picked it up and looked at the person across from me. I unfolded the paper.

Hey I'm Taeyeon! What's your name partner?

Hi! I'm Bae Joohyun, but you can just call me Irene

I threw the piece of paper back at her and accidently hit her on the head. We both made eye contact and started laughing. She threw another piece of paper at me

Can I call you Baechu? Also I really like your original name. Joohyun is really pretty. If I ever need to talk to you about something serious I'll use your real name deal?

I smile at her answer.

It's a deal. I might just want to call you Taeyeon if you don't mind. Also are we now partners?

I threw the piece of paper back and this time she caught it. She looked up at me and finally talked to me instead of throwing a piece of paper at me.

"Heya Baechu! I'm Taeyeon and I am going to be the best partner you have ever had." I smiled and I shook her hand.

"I will try my best to keep up with you." She looked at me confused

"What do you mean keep up with me haha. You're at a high rank yourself"

"I know that you are ranked 1 here in this department. Haha" Taeyeon looked at me shocked and then gave me a smile.

"Haha of course Baechu would know my rank. I have a small feeling that you are going to be a great leader one day." I smile and look at her. 

Our first mission was to stop these people from transporting illegal goods. I immediately stopped and waited for an opportunity to strike. I looked to my left and I didn't see Taeyeon anymore. 

I saw her walking straight in to the criminals. I kept asking myself what the heck she was doing. She pulled out her gun and immediately grabbed one of the guys and held him captive. I look around and count the number of people 8 people including the one Taeyeon is holding.
