I looked at the burnt building and took a deep breath I heard Seulgi get out of the car. I kept thinking about everything that happened with me and Taeyeon. My thoughts were interrupted when I heard my car door open. 

I looked and saw Seulgi smiling at me. I couldn't help but smile back. This time, I was going to be aware of everything. I look around and saw the other pairs get out of their cars too. Lisa then gave us the signal to move into the building. 

We all surrounded the building and found different ways to get inside. Me and Seulgi took the left side along with Lisa and Jennie. Yeri and Saeron took the right side along with Wendy and Joy. Jisoo and Rose took the back. 

We all went through the windows knowing that it would be stupid to go through the front. Me and Seulgi got into the room and we immediately looked around the room for traps and for clues. I didn't see anything in the room and neither did Seulgi. 

We both left the room and walked down the halls while being cautious of course. After what happened last time, I didn't dare lose my awareness. If I heard something I would immediately aim my gun at it. 

Me and Seulgi decided to go up to the second floor. I asked her if we could go to the cafeteria. She looked at me with a worried expression and I give her a reassuring smile to let her know that I'm okay. 

She nodded and we both went to the cafeteria. I looked around and saw burnt tables. I look at the floor and saw the place where I fell. I walked over to where Taeyeon was before everything happened and I saw a tiny piece of paper on the ground. 

I felt my heart start to pound, but I didn't fall for the tiny trick. I think Seulgi saw it too. Me and Seulgi slowly walked towards the piece of paper looking at our surroundings. 

I didn't see anything and Seulgi told me to grab it. I went to grab it and Seulgi followed. I picked up the note. I looked at the note and my eyes widened. 

"Don't worry Officer, your partner is fine." Seulgi looked at it too and her eyes widened as well. The handwriting looked new and the ink wasn't dry. 

The person was just here, or is still here. Me and Seulgi then got up quickly and went to find the others. We were still careful though to watch our step and look for traps. We finally found Jennie and Lisa. 

Without speaking, I handed over the note to Lisa and her eyes widened. She then looked at me with a worried expression. We four then traveled around the school looking for the other pairs. 

When we rounded all of them up, we all got outside and got into our cars. We drove back to the department. The car ride was a little silent. I couldn't stop thinking about the note. I kept reading it over and over again. 

Is Taeyeon okay? Is she still alive? What does that mean for Seulgi? Is she going to be okay? My thoughts were interrupted when Seulgi stopped the car. Before I knew it, we were already at the department. 

We all walked into the building and all went to the room where we have all of our meetings. I sat down and kept staring at the note in my hand. I saw Seulgi's hand reach towards mine and I take it. 

I look up at her and she gave me that eye smile. I smiled back. Soon, the other pairs enter the room as well. I saw Jisoo with a piece of paper. She looked at me and handed the piece of paper to me. 

"Officer Irene. Taeyeon is fine. She has some burns, but either than that, she is okay. If you want to see her, you can, but you can't bring anyone with you. We promise that we won't hurt you when you come. We thought that you wanted to say goodbye to your partner for the last time. Come to XXX if you want."
