Alluma P.o.v
Age:5

“Hey Illumi!” I said. I hugged him from behind.  He patted my arm. “Hey Luma.” He said. We were in the woods surrounding our home.  “Father said he needs us.” I told him. I saw the corners of his lips lift up slightly and he grabbed my hand. “Let's go then. We shouldn’t keep him waiting.”

We ran through the mansion to our Father quarters when Mother stopped us. “Where are you two off to in such a hurry?” She asked sweetly. “Father needed us.” Illumi said. She smiled a little. “Well then I won't hold you.” She said.

I let go of Ilumi’s hand. “Race you there!” I said sprinting away. He ran after me. Of the two of us, I was more athletic and notably faster. We often raced through the grounds. I giggled as I reached the door. I slammed my hand on it. “I win!” I said. Illumi looked a little sad. I heard the door creak open and saw Father.

I smiled up at him. “Hi.” I waved. He ruffled my hair. “Come in you two.” He said. I grabbed Illumi’s hand and walked into the dark room. I looked around and saw Father had disappeared.

“As an assassin” I heard my father's voice. The candles around the room started going out one by one. “You must be able to see without your eyes.” His voice was moving around the room, but I couldn’t hear his footsteps or sense him.

“Now. Walk to me.” It seemed like his voice came from everywhere in the room. Illumi started walking towards a corner of the room. I felt the air shift behind me and spun around. I was met with the bright blue eyes of my father.

“Good job Alluma.” He said. “How’d you do that, Father?” Illumi asked. “Nen.” He said. “Can you teach us?” I asked cheerfully. The candles lit back up. “Yes,that's the reason I asked you to come.” He said. I smiled. “Yay!”

“You’ll begin your training tomorrow.” He said.

Little did I know how harsh and brutal that training would be…
Often we would be tortured to the brink of death just to see how much we could handle. It was painful watching the other children's training, though their training was child's play compared to ours. Sometimes during training they’d chain us up for a month, feeding us only once a week. ‘Why would they choose this profession?’ That’s something I always wondered. Through that training, I lost the twin I loved. They replaced him with an emotionless boy, and for that, I resent my Parents.
