Childe X Reader X Zhongli| If it was sooner

A/N: SPOILERS AHEAD. If you have not finished the last arc of the Liyue Archon quest do not continue unless you do not care! AND play song when seeing 🎵 and end when seeing a second 🎵

In the mint of a city called Liyue a certain predicament had popped up of the grounds below. It had just happened that a festival was to take place in the main square of Liyue, all the occupants of the city in the following week had begun to stack up on some traditional drinks and what had appeared to be glowsticks. (Y/N) originally had no idea what was happening in the city but after a quick talk with one of their close friends, Ganyu a half human and half adepti, they had their view cleared up and thus sparked a idea.

Zhongli, a well accomplished business man and the Lord of Geo in disguise was roaming the city admiring the new look that his own made place had taken on, lanterns and string lights had been drawn from building to building. He reminisced on the first one of its kind and recited its name "Ah, The festival of godly remembrance. A time to thank not only Rex Lapis and the adepti but the other Archons for allowing the world to prosper into the blooming blossom that it now is. One of the only other festivals to still be carried out in Liyue to this day." He smiled to himself and grabbed the bag on his arm which was full of Mora and began to walk around the stalls buying items to take part in.

Childe, the eleventh Fatui harbinger or as he went be occasionally tartaglia was completing commisons for his ruler The Tsaritsa until he had been given a letter by one of the Fatui grunts that were positioned at a set of ruins. Upon inspection of the letter recieved, it stated that by order of the Tsaritsa he was to have a leisurely day in Liyue and was pardoned for his duties for the day. "Huh, well if our Tsaritsa so desires it i will indulge myself in the activity that is the the festival of godly remembrance. Off to Liyue, goodbye comrade" He made a small salute before jumping towards the city, only the stop when he came into contact with Zhongli. "Hey Zhongli, what are ya up too!" He chirped and suddenly became a rather sweet male towards the other boy beside him. It turned out that him and Childe had been secretly dating and the only issue that had stemmed from that was the fact, (Y/N) was dating Zhongli and they had always said that "One should be truthful to themselves ad if that meant you express it in a weird and any other way that was okay"

They had devised a plan that evolved them telling (Y/N) the secret and asking if they all wanted to be in a relationship but little did they know that they had been watched by (Y/N). However, they were unable to actually hear their conversation and only saw them kiss eachother's cheek and then smile. This caused (Y/N) to cover their mouth in shock and quickly run up to the top half of Liyue, tripping over a jagged step on the stairs leading to the plaza where both the rite of desencion and parting take place. Ganyu, Ningguang and Keqing were all stood in the plaza at the time and saw the person fall over they were quick to help them and when the lifted them up a face of tears and despair was all they were met with. A quick question was struck at the person and they responded with a cracked voice "Zhongli... Childe.. they're dating. I'm being cheated on" they began to sniffle and try to catch their breath, all three of the girls began to comfort them even at a point hugging them and telling it would all be okay but to (Y/N) it would never be like that the one they loved the most had cheated on them with a... a Fatui harbinger.

Childe and Zhongli both were laughing and walking from stall to stall buying items for both the festival and (Y/N) ready for the confession that were that unfold in a few hours as the sun began to set and a scene played out. They brought their items back into Zhongli and (Y/N)'s apartment placing them on the counters in the kitchen. They began to look for the roommate and to no luck they couldn't find them only a letter saying they would be back as they went to gather some flowers. The items that were in the bags had been taken out and placed carefully and a poster was put up by Childe, explaining how their would be singers in this festival to help convey the message of appreciation and it appeared that Ganyu and a special guest was performing along side her. That was certainly a shocker as the female adepti had rarely if ever taken part in a mortal tradition but only time would tell. They decided to kill time by sitting on the couch cuddling.
