"Earth Death in twenty-five minutes."

The computer announced as I walked down the hall. The doctor had been pulled away because of the TARDIS so it was up to me to find Rose. I had just rounded the corner near gallery 15, where we first landed, when I heard her.

"Hello. My name's Rose. That's a sort of plant." She said, talking to the cutting of Jabe's grandfather. I chuckled and leaned on the doorframe. "We might be related." She said, in an attempt to lighten her mood.

"Rose, it's a twig." I said making her turn around. "It won't talk."

"Well, I don't know! This is all alien, they're alien!" She said, referring to the guests on board. "I mean, how are you so calm?" She asked.

"I'm used to it." I shrugged making her huff. She went to open her mouth when the doctors call cut her off.

"Rose? Poppy? Are you in there?" He called, walking in. "Aye, aye. What do you think, then?" He asked as he walked up to Rose and I.

"Great. Yeah, fine. Once you get past the slightly psychic paper." She said sarcastically making me sigh. "They're just so alien. The aliens are so alien. You look at 'em and they're alien." She said, a kind of lost tone to her voice.

"Good thing I didn't take you to the Deep South." The doctor joked.

"Where are you from?" Rose asked him, curious to know more about him.

"All over the place." He responded, a faraway tone in his voice and my eyes softened for him.

"They all speak English." She pointed out. I sighed and prepared for the argument about to start.

"No, you just hear English. It's a gift of the Tardis. The telepathic field, gets inside your brain and translates." The doctor said making me grimace. There was probably a better way to say that but, oh well.

"It's inside my brain?" Rose asked, I sighed and stepped back. Better to not get myself involved just yet.

"Well, in a good way." The doctor asked, not realizing he should have told her this earlier.

"Your machine gets inside my head. It gets inside and it changes my mind, and you didn't even ask?" She asked, the doctor looked confused, he didnt think it was that big of a deal.

"I didn't think about it like that." He admitted, looking at the ground.

"No, you were too busy thinking up cheap shots about the Deep South." She said, her voice getting louder. "Who are you, then, Doctor? What are you called? What sort of alien are you?" She asked, getting angry and impatient.

"I'm just the Doctor." He said, avoiding the questions the best he could.

"From what planet?" She pushed.

"Well, it's not as if you'll know where it is!" He yelled.

"Where are you from?" Rose asked again.

"What does it matter?"

"Tell me who you are!"

"ENOUGH." I yelled just as the doctor opened his mouth. "Rose, for once shut the fuck up and you, Doctor, can calm the fuck down." I said, pointing at them both. Rose opened her mouth to say something when I looked at her, she closed her mouth.

"Now, Rose, if he's not telling us, it's probably for a reason. Now if we can all just calm the fuck down, we can get through this fucking day without ripping each other's heads off." I said, tired of this argument.

"Earth Death in twenty minutes. Earth Death in twenty minutes."

"All right. As my mate Shareen says, don't argue with the designated driver." Rose said as she took out her phone. "Can't exactly call for a taxi. There's no signal. We're out of range. Just a bit." She said, trying to find a signal for a second.
