Ch 12. An Slytherin And An Hufflepuff

I walked in the hallways of the castle, coming from the library. I don't know really know where Serena and Sabrina are right now.

Maybe they're exploring around the castle again or something.

"Remington. Wait up." I heard an familiar voice of an guy. But not just any guy around Hogwarts.

"Hey Cedric." I said as he catches up to me. "How are you cousin?"

"I'm doing good. How about you?" Cedric answered me.

"I'm doing alright. I was coming from the library." I said as we walked through the hallways. "I was doing some homework there."

"Homework, there's something I need to do later. It's gets harder after first year, trust me." Cedric said before the both of us laughed. "So tell me cousin, how did you get into Slytherin?"

"Well, I don't really know. Maybe because my mother or the way I act sometimes." I answered him. "My two friends, who are also in Slytherin, sometimes they would question it too."

Cedric looked at me, kinda not really knowing what to say about it. But it was the honest truth, my mother was actually an really smart Slytherin and she could of been in Ravenclaw.

Sometimes I think could have been in Ravenclaw, Slytherin is just as good.

"Well, my father and I think that you take after your mom sometimes. He even said that she could have been in Ravenclaw and was an very smart Slytherin when she was alive." Cedric said, sounding happy, but kinda sad at the same time.

My mom passed away four years ago after she was killed by an Death Eater. We missed her a lot and think about her every day that passes.

"So what have you and your two friends been up to?" He asked, probably being curious.

"Well, school work, homework, exploring around the castle, and hanging out in our room mostly. Serena is very good at potions like her father, Sabrina really like Transfiguration, and I myself is really good in all my classes." I answered my cousin. "Also all three of us really really really like the defence against the dark arts class."

"Well, that's good to hear Remington."

"Hey Cedric!" Someone from Hufflepuff yelled for my older cousin with an couple other Hufflepuff students. I'm guessing they're fourth years just like him.

"Well looks like I have to go. See you around cousin." Cedric said with a smile.

"Okay, later cousin." I said, smiling back before we walked away from each other. 

I started walking to the Slytherin common room when I ran into an girl from Gryffindor.

Hermione.

"Oh sorry. I didn't mean to run into you Hermione, I was starting to go back down to my houses' common room." I said to her.

"Oh it's fine Remington." She said. "And why were you talking to Cedric?"

"Oh, Cedric and I are cousins. My mother and his father were siblings." I answered the Gryffindor girl.

"Oh. I didn't know that you're cousins." She said. "Well I should get going. Bye Remington."

"Okay, see you around Hermione." I said and started walking again to the Slytherin common room.

Only a few more weeks of school that I get to do this until after summer over.

And hopefully I still keep my secret hidden well.
