Ch 6. Feathers And An Troll

Days and weeks had passed by since the first day of classes. Serena, Sabrina, and I are already becoming close friends over the pass month and an half.

Has for today, it's already Halloween.

"One of a wizard's most rudimentary skills is levitation or the ability to make objects fly." Professor Flitwick said to the class. "Do you have your feathers? Good. Now, don't forget the nice wrist movement we've been practicing. The switch and flick. Everyone."

Everyone in the classroom was doing the wrist movement, that he been teaching us. I just can't wait until classes were over.

"The swish and flick. Good. Oh, and enunciate." Professor Flitwick said. "Wingardium Leviosa. Off you go, then."

"Wingardium Leviosa." Everyone was saying the spell. Sabrina had a little bit of trouble getting the feather in front of her off the table.

Serena got her feather off the table, Sabrina and I looked at her. Her got her feather to go six feet in the air, then bring it back down to in front of her on the table.

"Cool." Sabrina and I said at the same time. Then we saw someone's go high up in air. Mostly everyone had stopped what their doing and watched the feather.

"Well done! See here, everyone, Miss Granger has done it!" Professor Flitwick said, talking about Hermione Granger. The girl who asked us on the train about a missing toad and I sat next to on the first of classes. "Splendid."

I'm surprised that she's not in Ravenclaw because of how smart she is, but she gotten herself in Gryffindor. I would have been in Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff with my cousin Cedric, but I somehow got in Slytherin.

Strange.

"Wingardium Leviosa. Wingard.." An Gryffindor boy named Seamus said he his feather in front of him blow up, causing everyone to look.

"I think we're going to need another feather over here professor."

Everyone was in the hall eating dinner. Candles and jack-o'-lanterns were up in the air around the bewitched night sky.

An good old Halloween night at Hogwarts.

"Where's Professor Quirrell?" Serena asked Sabrina and I.

"Why do you asked Serena?" Sabrina asked her.

"Because he's not at the table with the other Professors." She answered. Sabrina and I look at the table where the Professors are, and she's right. Professor Quirrell was not at the table.

"That's strange. Unless he's secretly up to something that nobody really knows about." I said, Serena and Sabrina looked at me with kinda weird looks on there face.

"Maybe. But.."

"Troll in the dungeon! Troll in the dungeon!" Professor Quirrell yelled out as he ran into the hall. Headmaster Dumbledore stands up as everyone looked Professor Quirrell. "Thought you ought to know."

Then he passed out, mostly every student was freaking out, expect for Serena, Sabrina, and I. The students that were freaking out, starting to leave the hall.

"Silence!" Dumbledore yelled out, causing everyone to look at him. "Everyone will please not panic! Now perfects will lead their houses back to the dormitories. Teachers will follow me to the dungeon."

The prefects started leaning their houses back to the dormitories. Sabrina, Serena, and I followed our house, but Sabrina pulled Serena and I to the side away from the group of Slytherins.

"I have a idea." She said. "Let's go and find the troll."

Serena and I looked at her like she's crazy. What kind of idea is that?

"Why Sabrina? We could get hurt." Serena said. "My father will find out easily if he doesn't see me and you two with the rest of the Slytherin."

"Probably to stop the troll. Hopefully we won't get into some trouble." She answered. Serena and I looked at each other, then back at Sabrina.

"Fine." Serena and I said. Then all three of us ran down some hallways. Until we stopped, we heard a girl screamed.

That's coming from the girls restroom. We ran into there, we saw Ron, Harry, Hermione, and an big troll.

"Hermione move!" Harry yelled at her before the troll swing the bat in his hand again at the bathroom stalls.

"Help! Help!" Hermione yelled. Serena ran in front of Ron and she put up some wood, throwing at the troll. Sabrina, Harry, Ron, and I started doing the same thing.

"Over here you idiot!" Sabrina yelled at the troll, still throwing wood at it.

"Hey stupid troll!" I yelled.

"Hey, pee brain!" Ron yelled at it. The troll started looking over at us as Hermione move to the sinks. The troll turned around and hit it's bat around the sinks.

"Help!" She yelled. Ron and I kept throwing wood at it while Harry and Sabrina ran at the troll, Harry grabbed on to the troll's bat, then he got on his head and Sabrina fall down on the floor. Sabrina move to where Hermione was under the sinks.

The troll started staking it's head while Harry was still there and the raven black hair boy put his wand in the troll. That's just gross.

The troll started started staking it's head again, then it grabbed Harry. Oh boy, that's not good.

"Do something!" Harry yelled. Serena looked at the troll's bat and then she took out her wand.

"Wingardium Leviosa!" Serena kinda yelled out, causing the bat to levitating in the air. Ron and I stopped throwing wood at it, we back up a little bit as the troll looked it's bat.

The troll dropped Harry before the bat fell on it's head. We back more before the troll fell in front of us, it was knocked out.

Sabrina and Hermione walked over to us slowly. Ron and I help Harry up off the floor, then he grabbed his wand from the troll's nose.

"Gross." I said seeing his wand has something on it from the troll's nose.

"Is it dead?" Hermione asked.

"I don't think so. Just knocked out." Harry answered her, then looked at Serena. "She's the one who did it. Thanks."

"You're welcome." Serena said as she kinda smiled. Her smile dropped when her father, Professor Mcgonagall, and Professor Quirrell walked into the girls restroom.

"Oh, my goodness! Explain yourselves!" Professor Mcgonagall said to us.

"Well, what it is.."

"We heard a scream..."

"It's was my fault, Professor Mcgonagall." The Gryffindor girl said and everyone looked at her.

"Miss Granger."

"I went looking for the troll. I thought I could handle it. But I was wrong." Hermione said. "If they hadn't come and found me, I'd probably be dead."

"Be that as it may, it was extremely foolish thing to do. I expected more rational behavior and am very disappointed in you Miss Granger. Five points will be taken from Gryffindor for your serious lack of judgement." Professor Mcgonagall said before turning to Ron, Harry, Sabrina, Serena, and I. "Has for you two gentleman and three young ladies, I just hope you realize how fortunate you are. Not many first year students could take on a troll and live to tell the tale. Five points will be awarded to each of you for sheer dumb luck."

Professor Mcgonagall walked out of the girls restroom. Professor Snape turned to look at us with a cold look.

"Serena, Miss Black, and Miss Lupin. I want all three of you in my office after the Quidditch game tomorrow. Now all of you go back to your house dormitories." He said before walking out, leaving us behind.

"Perhaps you ought to go. It might wake up." Professor Quirrell said as we were walking out.

Walking back to our house dormitories of Gryffindor and Slytherin. Hopefully we're not in a lot of trouble with Professor Snape.
