3rd Person POV:

While all the Mikaelsons were out, celebrating one of Hope's milestones, again, Athena decided it was time to make her escape. Athena had already said goodbye to Kol, Davina, and Keelin who were already in on her plan. When the Mikaelsons got home, none of them realized that they hadn't seen Athena all day until Hope wanted to practice magic and went to steal her older sister's grimoire. She knew that she shouldn't after being scolded by Davina, but her parents insisted that it was okay. She went upstairs and knocked on her sister's door just to make sure she wasn't there.

Seconds passed and there was no response. Quietly, Hope opened her sister's door and looks around for the spot her grimoire is usually in but then realized that the room was completely bare. Not a thing in sight. All of her makeup and pictures were nowhere to be found. Confused, she calls out her sister's name only to hear nothing in response. She retreats back downstairs to ask the rest of the family where her sister is. She sees her dad pacing around and grumbling about there being no dinner.

"Dad, where's Athena?" Hope asks her father.

"I'm not sure but she hasn't made dinner which is unacceptable." He grumbles.

"Are you bloody joking?! Your child is missing and all you are worried about is the fact that she hasn't made you dinner." Kol snaps.

Klaus sprints up the stairs to Athena's room and opens her door only to see that everything was indeed gone, along with his child. He sees a pile of neatly written letters on her bed. The rest of the family quickly trails behind. Rebekah is the first one to pick up a letter and read it. By the end, she has tears spilling from her eyes at an alarming pace. Each Mikaelson picked up their letters and were stunned. Hope is sobbing her heart out and Klaus looks guilty. Guilty because he broke his promise, guilty because he practically pushed away his child, guilty because he thought of Athena as nothing more than a bastard and housekeeper. All of them are in tears, even Hayley, who didn't realize how much of a difference she could've made in the girl's life. Kol, Davina, and Keelin are rather happy because 1) they already knew 2) she finally got to leave her personal hell.

"W-why? Why would she leave us?" Rebekah chokes out.

Davina scoffs, "You can't be serious Rebekah," at the same time Keelin goes, "You idiots!"

The Mikaelsons, except Kol, look at the two girls confused.

"THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT! NONE OF YOU REALIZED THE PAIN YOU PUT HER THROUGH! AND ON HER BIRTHDAY YOU TREAT HER WORSE BECAUSE HER MOTHER DIED! YOU ALL TREAT HER LIKE A HOUSEKEEPER, A MAID, NOT A CHILD. AND WHEN HOPE WAS BORN IT GOT WORSE. SHE HAD A RIGHT TO LEAVE, SHE DIDN'T FEEL LOVED!" Kol screams at them.
