Prologue

Mimas is limited in females. The females are all dying out due to an unknown evolutionary gene that weakens the ovaries and womb, which brings less nutrients to the fetus. This causes the mother and child to be weakened and an increased chance of death for both mother and child. The gene had been passed down unknown for over one-hundred years before it started to mutate and affect all of the females on the moon/planet Mimas.

Now, thirty years after the 'Omega X' gene was discovered no new children had been born. The youngest female on Mimas was thirty five rotations old and the youngest male was thirty three rotations. For some unknown reason if the carrier of Omega X is carrying male offspring then they are more likely to survive. The chances of the female mother surviving was forty percent while the male child had a chance of eighty percent survival rate.

However if the female carrier was also carrying a female then the mother had a ten percent survival rate while the fetus had a twenty percent survival rate.

Being female and carrying a female baby meant an even stronger amount of the Omega X gene for both mother and baby, so Satern's stopped procreating all together in order to try and preserve the remaining females. And stop the Omega X gene getting stronger.

At this point there was one female to over two million males, Sadly Omega X  continued mutating further and killing all of the weakest females. The stronger gene was now called Alpha X and it was a miracle if a female only has Omega X at this point.

When Mimas only had one hundred females left the top scientists, Doctors and healers took the strongest twenty females and started to look into the process of an artificial womb or some way that a fetus could be grown to term.

There were no positive results, eventually there was no news at all about the twenty females ever again. Making the female population eighty.

In a desperate attempt to keep their species alive the bravest and strongest men were sent throughout the galaxy to find any female that they could procreate with, there had been none on any of the nearby moons or stars.

And so the females all died out while males continued to search the stars, leaving behind mourning males and a lonely, beautiful planet/moon. As well as the Emperor and his two sons, the only set of twins in all of the Satern race.
