Sokka slowly slid down the snow pile as the ship pushed into our wall. We all stayed still and waited for the ship to open up, we were all worried about how many soldiers there could be. When the ship did open only three men walked down, Sokka screamed as he ran at the man in the middle but he was quickly dealt with and shoved into the snow. Sokka ran at him again with a spear but the fire nation boy in the middle broke his spear and jabbed him a few times before kicking him off and into the snow. When the fire nation soldiers finally came into our village I was the only one out in the open, everyone else hide behind each other.

" Where is he? I know he's here!" He middle solider shouted, he grabbed Katara's gran " He should be about this age, I know your hiding him! Bring me the avatar!". I stood forward and pulled Katara's gran back over to her " There is no Avatar here, the avatar disappeared over a hundred years ago". The man stared at me for a second, studying me " You..." I looked at him confused, he ducked as Sokka threw his boomerang but groaned in anger when it came back and hit him in the head. He shot fire out of his hands in anger " Search this town! Burn it to the ground if you have to I know he's here!". I held in a laugh as the boy was suddenly on the floor, Aang had knocked him down with a penguin. " Aang you came back!" Katara squealed.

" Your the Avatar" the boy looked at Aang confused " I spent years of training and mediating for this moment, your just a child!" " Well your just a teenager" Aang pointed out. The teenager started shooting fire at Aang, he used his staff to redirect the fire but it was getting too close to us villagers. " Aang the villagers!" Katara shouted which made him stop " If I go with you, will you leave the village alone?" The boy nodded and Aang was handcuffed " And I want her" he pointed at me. " What?!" " Take her!" He yelled, Sokka stood in front of me as the guards came closer " Leave her out of this! She's just a simple village girl" " If you don't get out of the way I'll make sure you burn" " Sokka it's okay, if it means you and the village stays safe I'll go" " But Kala" " I'll be fine Sokka, I promise".

The guards pushed Sokka to the ground before grabbing my arm and dragging me on to the ship " Don't worry I'll take care of Kala!" Aang called to Sokka. Once the door was closed the boy gave his orders " Take the Avatar to a cell, I'll take this one" he said as he grabbed my arm and began walking me down a corridor. He opened up a door and walked me inside before closing it behind him. " You don't need to be scared" he said as I stood a few steps away from him " You just kidnapped me" " Uh, fair enough. My name is Zuko, what's yours?" " Kala" " It's nice to meet you Kala, would you like anything? Some food or water?".

" I want answers, why did you take me? I've no contention to the Avatar" " I didn't take you for that" Zuko sighed as he put his arms behind his back " I took you because your my soul mate" my eyes went wide " What? How is that possible?" " I was told a few months ago that my soul mate was surrounded by snow, and that I would find you because your hair would be as red as fire". I grabbed my hair in panic " Are you not of age?" He asked and I nodded " I got mine yesterday" " And what were you told?" " That you were a prince from a different nation, that my hair represented something about you and that I'd meet you sooner than I thought". Zuko slowly examined me " No harm will come to you I promise" " What about Aang?" As I asked this Zuko wrapped his hand around my mouth and pulled me behind the door.

The door suddenly opened and Aang walked in and grabbed his staff, Zuko quickly closed the door and let me go. " Kala! Are you okay?" " I'm okay Aang" " I've only had you for five minutes!" Zuko shot fire at Aang, he screamed before air bending, making him hit against the wall and sending Zuko to the floor. Aang quickly grabbed my arm and pulled me to the deck where we were surrounded by fire nation soldiers. " You can't escape from me Avatar, your surrounded" Zuko slowly came up the stairs, his eyes glaring at Aang. " Appa!" Aang yelled and when I looked up his flying bison was over us.

Aang air bended while Appa kicked some of the soldiers over board. I screamed when I felt an arm wrap around my waist " Kala!" Sokka yelled to me " Let the Avatar go or I'll hurt her" Zuko threatened. Aang, Katara and Sokka all stood next to Appa " You don't have to do this Zuko, you can let her go and forget this never happened" " I've waited two years to find you, I'm not letting you go that easy". Suddenly Karata made a huge wave crash over the ship sending Zuko and myself over board, " Kala!" Sokka shouted " Just go Sokka! You'll be captured if you stay any longer" " I can't leave you!" " Go!". Zuko grabbed onto my waist, I wrapped my arms around his neck and tightened my grip when he grabbed onto a rope, pulling us onto the deck once again.

" Prince Zuko are you okay?" A old man asked " Get after him, I want full engines ahead!" Zuko turned to the crew and saw them being unfrozen " Um as soon as your done with that". " Ah and who is this lovely girl?" The old man turned to me " I'm Kala" I said as I shivered " I am Iroh, come lets get you out of those clothes and into something warm" Iroh took my hand brought me into a bath chamber " How do you like your bath water?" He asked " Really warm please" I shivered. Iroh heated the water for me and smiled " I will get you some new clothes while you bathe, please enjoy" he bowed before leaving. I shivered even more as I took my soaking clothes off of my freezing body, as I dropped the last piece of clothing to the floor I slowly made my way into the bath and smiled at how nice and hot the water was.

As I relaxed in the water my mind wouldn't stop racing, this prince Zuko said I was his soul mate but how could that be? I mean he's a prince and I'm a peasant girl, never mind that! He's the prince of the fire nation! How am I ever supposed to fall in love with him!
