Today in school nothing really happened. Surprising right? So this morning I got on the bus to get to school. The bus was crowded as usual. More smelly armpits in the air and people’s butt touching each other. I swear I hate public transportation in New York City. Oh shoot, was I supposed to like introduce myself or something? I mean no one's gonna read this except me and I know who I am. Wait, but what if I lose my memory or something in the future. Yes, I know I annoy myself too.

Ok whatever, my name is Aspen. I just turned 17, I am currently a junior in high school, and I live in New York City. I guess that’s all you need to know for now.

Okay, so where was I? Right, the bus. So after I finally arrived at school, I waited outside for my friends until the door for the school opened. By the time I got to the main entrance of the school, my friend was already waiting there.

“Hey stranger.” I jumped at her.

“Hey!” said Toni, my best friend in the whole entire world. We became friends in the strangest way. We were both freshmen and we would sit in front of each other during lunch without saying a word for like 2 days. And I’m not usually the one to make the first move but I felt like I had to. So I took out a piece of paper and a pen. I started drawing dashes across the paper and asked her if she wanted to play hang-man. She giggled and agreed and that’s how we became friends. I guess that’s the only interesting thing that happened to me. We still talk about it today.

After the doors opened, we separated to go to our own classes. I had History first period with two of my other friends. Toni and I became friends with Tess and Scarlett when they invited us to sit with them during lunch. Yes, lunch is where all the magical things happen. We knew each other but weren’t really friends before that and now we are the closest ever.

The rest of the school day was uneventful (Yay I didn’t say boring, I’m getting there). I walked to the bus stop and waited for the bus to arrive. When it finally did, I climbed on and was surprised it wasn’t as crowded. Thank God! I couldn’t listen to music because my phone died so I just stared outside the window.

When the bus stopped at the next stop, I think I saw the most beautiful human being to ever exist.
