"What did he text?" I asked curiously.
"Hey Alex, I wanted to first say sorry for ditching you after the party last night. I also wanted to say thank you for being there for me and for being my friend when I came here. If you don't already know, you're my best friend and I will always be happy with everything you do. That includes dating Aspen. She's a lucky girl to have someone great as you but you're even luckier to have her. Don't get upset with me because I also really like Aspen. I think I love her but she's yours and I can accept that. I don't think you'll want to keep in touch with me after you read this and even if we never meet or talk again I wanted to say I love you man. I will never forget the times we spent together. I'll miss you, especially you calling me 'Ashy'. One thing I do want to ask from you is to keep Aspen happy. I never want to see her cry again which is funny because I might never see her again." Alex finished reading.
"He thinks we're dating? And what does he mean he will never see us again?" All these questions circulated in my head. He said that he loves me and he cares about me so much. He wanted me to be happy even if it's not him that's making me happy.
"Aspen you have to tell me if you know anything about this. Please he's my best friend and I can't lose him," Alex begged.
"He kissed me and I ran away because I thought he was with Emily still and he was cheating." Alex's eyes grew wide.
"Well you have to stop him," he said.
"It sounded like he was leaving. Where can I find him?"
"Is it possible that he's going back to Boston?" Toni asked.
"I really hope not."
"Come on, I'll drive you guys to the station," Alex said.
"You have a car?" I asked.
"Yup, my christmas present," he smiled.

We all rushed to his car and drove to the station. "I'm coming for you Ashy," Alex yelled as he drove. I kept thinking what if it's too late? What if he left for Boston already and I'll never see him again? What if he went to the airport instead of the bus station and we wouldn't have time to get to the airport before the last flight of the day. He will never know what I feel for him. Toni was trying to comfort me. When we got there, it was already pitch dark. I told Alex and Toni to stay in the car as I looked for Asher. I ran as fast as I could and as I did it started to snow. The first snowfall of the winter.
