Ever since Jemina figured out which career path she wanted to take in high school, she immediately applied for many colleges that fit. There was a problem with that though. How would she get to the college? What form of transportation would she need?

A plane, to her dismay.

When her human world friends asked her what was wrong with the transportation, she couldn't say. They wouldn't understand much. Alicia, her best friend, and the others would understand of course, but she didn't want them to worry for her. They all were taking other forms of transportation anyway, mostly trains, cars, or whatever advanced flying technology existed in 2058.

Telling Anna wasn't an option either. Jemina especially didn't want her to worry over a dumb long-lasting fear. It just wasn't worth her time, or anyone's.

Fears don't go away easily, sometimes staying until the bitter end - like her fear of heights. If it wasn't for Ray volunteering to zipline with her when they were on the Gracefield wall, she might have lingered behind or died. Her hands were shaken up, she could have fallen. Though thankfully, he was there for her, a warm smile on his face that she would never forget - also a comforting hug.

Still, the fear was always there within her. To overcome it? No way, definitely not. Besides, an 8 hour plane ride wasn't so bad, right? Distractions she had, such as her phone. However holding someone's hand would be reassuring for her, but she did not have a lover. Friends were most definitely out of the question, it would just be embarrassing.

Jemina would just have to endure it, alone and frightened, with no one she knew to be there on that fearsome day.

The dreaded day finally came.

Near Anna's apartment was her goodbye gathering. Most of the people she formed bonds with in the demon world were there, congratulating her and wishing her the best in her success. Alicia, Chris, Dominic, Yvette, Rossi, and Mark were already at their respective colleges. She was the last one to go.

As she looked among all her peers, she saw no sight of her two closest friends. To try and get their whereabouts, she asked the ones whom they were in a relationship with.

"Ray? No, I haven't seen him today."

"Yeah, same with Anna."

Weird. It kinda felt like Emma and Nat were lying to save their lovers' backs. Though her time was running out, and she needed to depart to the airport in a few. Maybe she'd see them on the driveway there, or something.

Waving goodbye to everyone, Jemina got in her car and drove off, heading to the scariest place considerable to her. During her driving, she called up Ray and Anna but neither of them answered her calls. Was she being too desperate? She only wanted to say farewell until she got to see them in person again.

Alternatively, she left a voicemail message.

"Hi Anna. Today's the day I'm heading off to college, which I am currently driving to go there. You weren't at the gathering. Neither was Ray. Did something happen? Nat told me he hadn't seen you all day. I'm a bit worried, though I'm sure you're fine! You're most likely at the hospital... saving lives from taking the worst fall of their existence! Or you know, just being the best doctor you are. Well, that's all. I love you. See you."

And one to Ray.

"Yow, Jemina here. Hope you're okay right now, Ray. I'm currently in my car, driving off to go to college. I missed you today, still do. I... uh- I asked Emma where you were, but she didn't know. Anna wasn't at my gathering either. So, you know, I hope you haven't fallen off a high enough place because that would be bad- uh, I mean! That... that came out of nowhere. Please don't do that. I'm just gonna go before I say anything else that would endanger you. Anyways, I love you. See you."
