"So your sword can only work on monsters?"

"As I've told you the last one hundred time, yes," I snapped, tired of the questions.

Tony snatched the pen from my hand. "Hey!" I exclaimed. "It needs to work on normal people too," he said. My jaw dropped. "What do you mean?" I asked. Tony's eyes were full of coldness. "There are bad people in the world too. You need to be able to defend yourself from them."

"I know martial arts," I protested. Tony raised an eyebrow. "Really? Maybe I could get Steve to-oh, f*ck."

I frowned. "What? Whose Steve?"

Tony dropped the pen on the worktop and I hastily put it in my pocket as he walked away. "This person who tried to kill me. The guy you met when you first came."

"How did he try to kill you?" I asked, crossing my arms.

Tony sucked in breath and Peter piped up (he was with us in the lab, working on his suit). "He stuck his shield into dad's arc reactor - the thing that's keeping him alive." My uncle took a sheet of cloth off something and I saw a shield - more precisely Captain America's shield. "Oh," was all I could manage. "You two fought?"

Tony nodded. "What's the arc reactor?" I asked.

"What's with all the questions?" Tony snapped, voice and expression both angry. "I'm just wondering," I said, my voice small. Tony nodded again and pulled of his jacket. He was wearing a black shirt, with a blue glow shining through it.

"I'm guessing you don't want to see me shirtless so I'll keep my tee on," Tony said. "But, basically...I got kidnapped, hurt, and I have this."

Peter snorted. "That's really dumbing it down," he muttered.

"Hand me your sword again," Tony ordered and I tossed him the pen. He carefully took off the cap and the blade shot out. "Okay, here's what I'm-we're gonna do. We're gonna slice off half the sword and replace the central-"

"Celestial," I corrected, poking a tongue out.

"Fine, celestial bronze with some vibranium and you will be practically unstoppable."

So, technically Backbiter, I thought. Great. I'll be like Luke.

"As well as fixing your armour," Tony rambled on, picking up a chest piece and tossing it across the workbench. "We'll enhance that with vibranium and my suit."

I shook my head. "Just vibranium, please. I don't wanna be known as 'Iron-Boy'." I turned to Peter. "Speaking of which, why is your alias, 'Spiderman' if you're well, a teenager?:

Peter raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, spider-boy would be a great name," he said, voice laced with sarcasm. "Think of the headlines: Spiderboy saves family from mugging. How great would that be?"

Tony laughed. "Good idea, bambi, I'm gonna go to the press right now."

How he kept his expression so serious, even while laughing and joking, I didn't know. "You better not," Peter warned. Tony walked to the door out of the lab and Peter shot a web at him, pinning his hand to the wall.

I smirked at their antics. "You find something funny, Jackson?" Tony asked, pointing at me with a wrench. "Actually, yeah, I do," I said, laughing.

Tony tugged from his web. "Dum-E, get me out of this."

Frowning, I turned, and saw a robot going in Tony's direction. "Ah, I'll just do that, dad," Peter said hurriedly, stopping the robot as he rushed to Tony, getting the web off.

"Let's get to work!" Tony exclaimed, pulling out a slab of metal and snatching my pen out of my pocket. He uncapped it, and placed it on the workbench. "So, what I'm gonna do," Tony begun. "Is cut half of the celestial bronze off and replace it with vibranium, alright?" (A/N I know nothing about this so just go with it)

Nodding uneasily, I saw as Tony turned on the welder and burn half of the sword with ease. He then did some stuff which I had no clue of to attach the vibranium to the sword.

At least two hours later, he was finished. Handing the sword to me, I turned it over in my hands, examining the detail.

It looks like Backbiter. I feel like Luke. I have the power to kill both monsters and mortals. I shouldn't have that power. It's dangerous. I'm too dangerous already. It will consume me an-

"Perce, you alright?"

My head snapped up. "Y-yeah," I said, shakily. "Can we do something else?"

Tony's eyes were narrowed but he didn't make a comment. "Yeah, sure. You guys wanna spar? I'm just going to work on my suit."

Peter nodded and walked out. I followed him uneasily into the training room. "So," Peter begun. "Wanna just do a no weapon fight?"

I nodded. "Sure." It can't hurt.

We begun by going into the fighting ring. Peter and I both got into our fighting stances. "On three?" Peter asked.

"One," I said.

"Two," Peter said.

"Three!" we both exclaimed in unison.

Peter sprung forward, landing a punch in my ribcage. I winced but threw a punch at him, catching him in the shoulder.

---

In summary, it did hurt. I ended up having one broken rib, three cracked ribs, and two bruised ones and a black eyes. Peter had a bruised jaw and a twisted ankle.

In short, I got most of the beating.

When the two of us went out for dinner, we were greeted by a very concerned Pepper and Rhodes. "Hey mom," Peter greeted, grabbing an icepack and pressing it against his jaw. Pepper gave me one and I thanked her with a nod and a smile. "Where's dad?"

"Where do you think?" Rhodes asked, smiling thinly. "Just saying, we ordered pizza. It's coming soon, alright?"

The two of us nodded. "Wanna watch a movie?" Peter offered. "Sure," I said, and the two of us made way to the couch.

Peter turned on the TV and switched to Star Wars. My smile faded. "Seriously?" I asked him.

"Yeah, seriously!" Peter exclaimed. "It's a good movie, just watch."

---

In conclusion? ...It was alright.

Hi everyone!

Hope you liked that chapter! Next one will be out next week.

So, I was just thinking about the whole 'demigods and technology' thing, and since Percy is now living practically in a tower of technology, the only reason monsters aren't coming in is because it is very secure. Hope that answered some questions.

Thanks for reading, guys!
