"No this will look good on her."
"No this."
"She's so pretty."
"Look at her, oh God I can't believe this is happening."
Seeing them bickering each other, I felt really happy.

Wedding shopping was turning out to be more chaotic than I had imagined. We were at the boutique, surrounded by rows of stunning dresses. Sheetal, my best friend, and her brother Sahil were with me, and their constant bickering was both amusing and frustrating.

“This lehenga is perfect! Just look at the detailed work!” Sheetal held up an elegant, pastel-colored lehenga.

“You’re kidding, right? That’s so bland. She needs something vibrant and bold, like this one,” Sahil argued, pointing to a bright red gown.

I sighed and slipped into the trial room with yet another dress, trying to block out their voices. As I adjusted the dress, I heard a soft whisper, “Inara.” I turned quickly and saw Rohit slipping into the room with a mischievous smile.

“Rohit! What are you doing here?” I whispered, my heart skipping a beat.

“I had to see you,” he replied, pulling me into a gentle embrace. “You look beautiful.”

“You’re going to get us in trouble,” I scolded him lightly, though I couldn’t help but smile.

He laughed softly and kissed me. It was our first kiss, and it made my head spin. “Just a few minutes, Inara. I couldn’t wait.”* He kissed me again, deeper this time, and I lost myself in the moment.

I tried to push him away playfully. “Rohit, seriously, we can’t do this here.” But he was persistent, nuzzling my neck and leaving a small hickey.

“Rohit!” I gasped, half-annoyed and half-amused.

“I’ll see you later,” he whispered, giving me one last lingering kiss before slipping out of the room as stealthily as he had entered.

I took a deep breath to steady myself before stepping out. Immediately, Sheetal’s eyes zeroed in on my neck. “Inara, is that a…?” she trailed off, grinning.

“It’s nothing,” I said quickly, trying to cover the hickey with my hair.

“Sure, it is,” Sahil teased. “Looks like someone had a little too much fun in the dressing room.”

I ignored their teasing and focused on the dresses. We finally settled on a stunning ivory lehenga with intricate gold embroidery. It was perfect, and I felt like a princess wearing it.

Next, we moved on to gold shopping. The jewelry store was dazzling, and I found myself mesmerized by all the glittering pieces. Amidst the shopping, I found a beautiful platinum band and had our names engraved on the inside. It was my surprise gift for Rohit, something to symbolize our love.

By the time we returned home, I was exhausted but happy. It had been a long, eventful day, and I couldn’t wait to share all the details with Rohit. As I flopped onto my bed, I thought about the journey ahead. Despite the chaos and the exhaustion, I felt an overwhelming sense of excitement and anticipation for our future together.
