Light x L Death note

Ryuzaki's Pov

   Light and I lay in my- I mean our bed. He lays on his side facing me and I lay on my back. His eyes are closed, as he's most likely drifting off into sleep. I look back up at my ceiling gazing into it, the color of it reminds me of the dark night sky. I love the night, I never sleep through it. The reason I don't sleep isn't because I like it though, I simply just can't. I'm constantly either thinking about the case I'm working on or overthinking about the next case to arrive.

     Light let's out a sigh. "I said I'd help you sleep didn't I? Well first of all, lay on your side, most people think it's more comfortable."

     I shifted over towards my side facing Light. His hair looks so soft.. I kinda wanna touch it... I shift closer to light, he looks kinda surprised that I want to be closer to him but that's fine. Me and his faces were only about a foot apart, now that I get a clear view, his eves are beautiful. Without thinking I reach out and run my hand through his hair. Once u had realized what I did I quickly pulled my hand back into my chest. "S-sorry I wasn't thinking..."

     "Aw Ryu it's okay" Light wraps his arm around my waist and pulls  me closer up against him, he moved up a little so that my head was in his chest and I immediately started blushing. Light Yagami what the hell are you thinking. Fuck what if he can tell that I'm gay? Fuck fuck fuck. What if he's doing it to make me fall for him and stop suspecting him as Kira? "Ryuzaki~ come on I can tell you're thinking about something, stop thinking and sleep okay? Calm down, you need sleep."

    I let my body relax in his arms "L-light? Why'd you pull me so c-close?" Lights body was so warm against mine.. it feels..nice..

     "I want you to sleep, thought it might help. Plus I was sure the reaction I'd get from you would be cute and I was right, you stuttering is pretty damn cute." He started to run his hand through my hair... it's so relaxing.. his hand his warm..

     "It's not cute... Mmm... you're...warm...." I pull my head closer into his chest unknowingly. The warmth made me so comfortable. I just wanted more of it, I pull my body closer to his and slowly start to slowly fall into sleep. As I doze off I hear light mumble something...

     "I was right.. this will be fun"

     Light shifting around in the morning quickly woke me up. "Light?.."

     "Oh Ryu I'm sorry I woke you up, I can't really get ready without waking you up with these handcuffs."

    "No it's fine, I'll get up with you I'm just not used to sleeping yet, plus with how close we were there wasn't a way you could get up without me waking up."

     Light and I got up and he got dressed, I normally stay in the same clothes for a few days, I don't see the point in changing unless I get them dirty. We headed over to the office and both sat down at our new computers, they're closer together now so that we can still work properly with the handcuffs. Honestly I'm beginning to believe that Light might not be Kira. The only reason I keep accusing him is I hate being wrong. I was hoping that this would prove me right but now I'm praying that I'm wrong.. Damn light is making me fall for him.. I'm not used to any sort of affection.. when I do get it, it kinda messes with my head..

     "Light? Was there any other reason you.. wanted to be so close last night?.. I mean I know you said it was to get me to sleep but was there any other reason?" I glanced over at light. His eyes weren't as sharp and harsh looking back at me.. they're warm and inviting..

     "Actually, yeah there was another reason. You see.. I've been looking at you for awhile now. Yes I know you consider me an enemy since you think I might be Kira, but I don't consider you mine. I know I'm not Kira so I will consider you my friend.. until you allow me to call you more than that."

     "What do you mean by more than that?"

     "Well, Ryu, to cut it short I'm falling for you, eventually after you prove me innocent I would like to be more than friends. You're kind..and adorable"

     "O-okay.. Light.. I think I may like you too.. but first I have to be sure that you aren't Kira, the case is on the top of my list and when I prove you innocent I'll think about.. us.."

     Light nodded his head, he looked kinda hurt but I knew he expected me to say something along the lines of that. At least today is a straight work day so we won't have to work with any other people for the next two days so that might help me sort things out.

     Eventually the work day was over, 11:00pm at night is when the day finally ends. We may work long hours but we need to solve this case. Light and I went back to our room and lied down in it just like the night before. He held me close to him and I had my head in his warm chest.

    "Light?.. how do you manage to make me so relaxed?... your arm around me.. your warmth.. it's perfect.." I looked up at at him, he had his eyes shut but soon they were looking back down at me.

     "Maybe because you're meant to be mine, I wouldn't make you so comfortable if you weren't" Light brushed a strand of hair away from my face.

     "Maybe I am...." I dug my head back into Light's chest, as I did so I realized he couldn't be Kira.. I couldn't fall for a murderer..

    Once again I slowly doze off into sleep holding onto Light, I really hope I was wrong about him.
