CHAPTER ONE . WILLIAM, MY BELOVED
— — — — — —
Lifting her e/c-colored eyes to see the man who saved her, Y/N tripped on her feet and landed on freshly cut grass far away from where she hid in the alleyway.
"W-Wait.. where am I—"
"Oh, I'm sorry!" A blonde man with purple eyes apologized as he extended an arm to help her stand up. Y/N hesistantly took it and backed off with a few steps. Her expression, more relieved than confused.
"Julius?"
"Eh? How did you know my name?" he asked, eyes staring into her soul in search for an answer. And he wanted one immediately.
'Oh no. Out of all the people I could stir curiuosity...'
But then she thought of it. What if he told her who she was? Would he believe her? The Wizard King was smart but even a man who's obessesed with magic would go bonkers when they find out exactly where she was from. Just the thought of it was like ripping a person's brain out.
"Thank you for helping me, Wizard King. Just please inform me when you'll place me in your Chronostasis next time." Julius chuckled but froze when he realized what she meant.
'How does she know about that spell?'
"Not again. A-Ah... thank you very much! I have to go—"
And so Julius trapped her in his time bubble and placed a hand on his chin. This woman, appeared out of nowhere. Maybe no one saw it, but he did.
She just appeared in the middle of the streets as he was selling purple snakes to Asta, and then now she knows he's the Wizard King and is even familiar with one of his spells. He could not let her go off that easily. Despite contemplating, he decided to bring her to the Castle and ask the opinion of his Royal Adviser.— — — — — — — — —
"You WHAT!?"
Not even a few seconds have gone by when Marx decided to yell at him for bringing a complete stranger to the Castle who knows that much. He knew that he was reckless but not to this extent.
The Wizard King chuckled and then flicked his index finger near the bubble, "Can I pop it?"
"NO!"
"but she's interestinggggggg!"
"And so? You cannot base your judgement from that ground of opinion! Who knows what magic she even has!"
'But she doesn't have any.' Aside from the ash-blonde boy who bought two sticks of purple snakes from him earlier, The Wizard king found it odd that she didn't have any mana nor magic.
Judging from her looks, she would at least be in her 20's. Her clothes were better than the average and she had a taste for clothes as the colors of her outfit equally complimented her overall appearance.
"We can't let her stay there forever. Even in that bubble time has an end." he joked but the blue-haired mage rolled his eyes at his silly remark.
"Then we should interrogate her and then check her memories for every other information she knows of."
and with that the two gathered all the Magic Knights Captains and restrained her with chains in an underground room of the Castle.

The smell of burning fire and the coldness of her surroundings made Y/N wake up. Once she was fully awake, the Captains of nine Magic Squads came out from the shadows with Julius and Marx in the middle. Their facial expressions? blank.
All of them present in the room were stunned when Marx used his Memory Magic earlier as he could not access hers. It was all blurry distorted as though it had a barrier protecting it.
"We're really sorry for this," Julius mumbled, surprising her. When her hand tried to rub her eyes she finally noticed the shackles around her wrist.
"If you wanted to ask questions then you should've said so. It's not as if I can run away from someone who has Time Magic."
There it is again. She said something only selected people knew. Though Julius has been the Wizard King for a few years now, his magical attribute has been hidden to the public for safety purposes and only those in the Brigade and have a high status of nobility knew.
And yet here she is.
"First, you know who I am despite appearing out of nowhere. Second, you know one of my spells, and third, you know what my Magic is. Sounds suspicious, doesn't it?" The squad captains flinched at the sight before them.
They have never seen Julius this serious before. Usually he'd actually be excited at the fact that he found out something as interesting at this.
"I'll explain everything I know only if you're willing to listen to me." Y/N's eyes glinted with determination to get out of the situation. Glancing back and forth from Julius to the Captains.
But then her eyes stopped when it locked with a pair of amethyst ones, shining brightly despite the mask he wore.
She finally got to see him. His eyes were as entrancing as she always imagined them to be, containing millions of little galaxies within it that made her believe in providence and contentment. And his lips... do we even have to describe it? It looked plump, soft even from a far like petals of roses, waiting for another to be placed right above it.
The masked man noticed her unwavering gaze and shifted rather uncomfortably. He was used to being stared at, that was given. But the way she looked at him was ful of... so much emotions that it made him feel uneasy.
"William?"

A/N: Someone actually got it right that Julius saved her lol. It would only be logical since he was near where she was and you know Julius, when there's danger, he's there.
