It is extremely important to take or use your birth control on time but I know how forgetful I am myself. So, I thought that it would be a good idea to go over some tips to help remind yourself, which is extremely important. The more you forget, the less effective your birth control will be.
-I personally have an alarm set on my phone for all of my medication, including my birth control. Having alarms set helps me a lot but I do sometimes find myself swiping the alarm away mindlessly so I do not just rely on this. It does help though so I highly suggest it!
-Something else that I do is place my pills some where I will see regularly. I personally tape mine to my mirror so I see it when I do my makeup but you could also put it in your bathroom with your tooth brush, by your coffee if you drink that daily, or even with your keys.
-Using a period tracking app like Clue, GLOW, Ovia Fertility, or My Calendar will also help by sending you reminders. You can also keep track of all the days you took a pill late or early or missed a pill.
-My last tip for you is to invest in a pill box. The one that I have has "AM" and "PM" for every day of the week. That way if you forget whether or not you took your pill for the day, you will know!
