Birth control has been nothing but a major help for people with uterus. It helps prevent abortions as well as unwanted pregnancies, has many health benefits, and gave women the ability to have a career, just to name a few.

Let's talk about how it prevents abortions and unwanted pregnancies and why that is a good thing. I want to start out by saying that I am pro-choice, however, few people think that abortion is a "good' thing. It is necessary for some people to abort and it is imperative for people to have control over their bodies. Although I do have that view, as I said abortion is not a fun thing and I wish to prevent it happening in healthy ways, without abortion bans. The most productive and healthy way to prevent abortion is by making birth control and contraceptive more readily available.

Birth control also has a wide array of health benefits, which is why I believe all health insurances should cover birth control. For me personally, I take birth control because I have ovarian cysts, painful and irregular periods, as well as a hormonal imbalance. Birth control can also decrease a female's risk at ovarian cancer and infections with the reproductive system. Use of birth control can also help people with uterus's giving birth to healthy babies if/when they go to have a child. What I mean by this is it prevents pregnancies from occurring too close together. The longer time period the parent waits to have children the more likely the baby will survive.

I full heartily believe that women would not have joined the work force without birth control. Women were given a little more say in their careers in he 1970's, following birth control becoming available to the public around the 1960's. Birth control gave women freedom to choose whether or not they had a career. Nowadays, birth control aids females in their decision to focus on their careers by preventing unwanted pregnancies that may lad some women to become less ambitious and quit school/ their careers in order to focus on parenting instead. It allows people to put off having children until they are comfortably and ready.
