A/N: Just a little short one for today guys. I didn't want to not post anything and keep you guys waiting, so all I could afford to do is upload a short one. I realised that most of my fanfics are long as hell even when I call it short. Oh well, enjoy.
I wake up, feeling extremely cheerful. I was energetic, my body felt fresh, I was feeling excited. Well out of all the days, it just had to be when I get grounded huh?
I wake up to the sound of Lachlan slowly snoring into my ear. His arms were wrapped around my torso, locking me to his body, his legs twine with mine. Woah. He's still here? I didn't think he would be. I though he was just going to accompany me till I sleep then he'd leave. Which is the reason why I hog the blankets all to myself yesterday, I didn't think he'd be needing it. Gosh, I don't want him to think I'm a cover hog.
I slowly lean my head down and kissed Lachlan's hand that was directly at my heart, to which he wakes up right after. Did I wake him up?
"Morning babe." He says as he plants a kiss on my neck, and I couldn't help but to smile. I respond to him by saying the same. "What time is it?"
"The clocks right behind you." I point out to the nightstand at his side of the bed to which he groans at me and said that he doesn't want to let go of me even to do that.
I turn around facing him, and we were facing each other. His twinkling blue eyes gazing upon my regular dark eyes, his arms still wrapping me tight not letting me go, his legs twine with mine. We connect our lips into a short kiss.
"Ew, Lachlan. You have morning breath."
"Way to ruin the moment, Rob."
Then suddenly, I hear a knock on my door to which I flinched so hard that I accidentally pushed Lachlan away from me making him fall to the floor, and I get him saying ouch. I immidiately get up and tell him to hide under the bed, which he does immediately.
I get closer to the door, and I feel anxious. Is that my mother or my brother? I ask to myself in my head. I grab the door knob of my room and twist it open after unlocking my door.
My brother immidiately pushes the door and examines my room with a cautios look. He gives me a glare to which makes me feel anxious even more but I play it cool. "Mom's coming." He says with a straight face.
Does he? Does he know that Lachlan snuck in yesterday and that's why he came in to warn me first? My brother can be very nosey sometimes, but I know he only does it to protect and annoy me at the same time. Even if I started doing drugs, he wouldn't scold me right on the spot or tell mom or anything, he'd just advice me annoyingly. That's Jay for you.
My mom comes in later after, stating that she wants to talk to me. I invite her to my bed and sit so that she wont have any chance at seeing Lachlan.
"Listen, Rob. I want to uplift your punishement. You are no longer grounded." She says making me jump with joy inside, but outside I pretended to be surprised. "I was a little harsh on you last night. I'm sorry."
"It's okay, mom. I deserved it." I say nodding and smiling. But deep down inside I'm screaming in joy because of it.
"No. Throughout 17 years of your life, you've never given me a reason to skip school. Heck, you love school, your education always meant so much to you." True. I do love me some knowledge, especially those mind challenging hard to get ones. "So I guess it must've been really important for you to sacrifice school yesterday for this Lachlan kid." She says to which I just slowly nod and smile "This Lachlan kid must really mean a lot to you." Oh you have no idea mom. "Go out and have fun today, Rob." And I hug her in return as a thank you.
She gets up and aims for the door but stops as she was about to pull the door behind her. "So.....what's the relationship with you and this Lachlan kid?" She says sounding excited.
"Just friends? Even if it's something more, you're okay with that?" I ask trying to push my luck to which she just smiles gladly.
"Heey, I'm just glad there's a less chance of you becoming a teen dad if it's more."
"Oh well...But there really isn't anything though." I say lying to her.
She flashes a creepy grin for a period of time before turning around leaving the room. "Well after he's done hiding under your bed, you guys are more than welcome to join me and your brother for breakfast later." Wait, what.
Lachlan crawls out from under the bed and we both shared a look of awkwardness. Wow, she caught him? That was awkward. Well that's great, now I gotta have the awkward talk with her. Ugh. But should I just come clean and tell her and Jay or should I continue to try to keep this as a secret? Though I don't see the point anyways.
"Come on, we should go take a shower now. We can join them for breakfast." Lachlan says tugging my hand but I tug on his back.
"What? Hell no. Two reasons why; Number one, I'm not ready to have the awkward conversation with them explaining us yet. Especially after she caught you like that. What do you want me to say to her now?" I take a pause before continuing. "And two, you can dream on if you think I'm gonna get naked and shower with you."
"Ngaaaww, come on, Robbie. Why not?" He says pouting his lips but I was still persistant to not do so. "Pleeaassee." He says with his cute high-pitch voice which I giggle to.
"No Lachlan, I'm not ready to see or let you see my dingleberry." I say censoring the harsh words.
"Okay Rob, we have to talk about you and this habit of yours hiding your words. They're just words." He says and I roll my eyes to.
"Go take a shower already darn it, Lachlan."
