On the way

In my life, I never imagine two adult men death glaring at each other just because of the use of the car. We were currently standing near Arm's car, and these two were arguing in which one I will ride. Off insisted on going with him, but Arm was against it. I started to get pissed off at them if I could go with the taxi, or any other way, I would probably do it without hesitation.

"I am going with Arm," I stopped their absurd hassle and wheeled myself closer to Arm's car.

"But Gun," Off protested. I stopped him once again with a raised hand.

"I am going with Arm, and you follow us. You are taking me home anyway. Just let him drive me to the pool." I said sternly not giving Off space to open his mouth. In the corner of my eye, I could clearly see Arm smirking at Off. What a bunch of childish babies. Arm helped me inside his vehicle, while Off glared at him.

The ride was weird. I kept on looking back at the rearview mirror, reassuring myself, that Off's car is still behind us. Arm was quiet for a while, occasionally peeking at me. I could feel his eyes on.
"So Gun, how long do you know Off?" He asked curiously.

"He came a day after Tay." I politely answered without looking at him. I heard him hummed.

"And he lives with you?" Arm was questioning again. I nodded at once.

"You let him? Why? I thought you don't like strangers." he bombarded me with questions. My head automatically turned his way. Why was he so curious? It's not like I don't talk to strangers at all.

"He's Tay's friend." I pointed out.

"But it doesn't mean you have to take him in. You don't even know him." he snapped at me. I was taken aback by his sudden outburst.

"Tay knows him and trust him. So do I." I reasoned. "Off isn't a bad person. He helped me a lot." I defended him.

"If you think so." Arm grunted. "I just don't want you to get hurt, Gun," he added kindly.

A small smile spread across my face. Arm was indeed a warm person. Then the vehicle sank into a peaceful silence. The ride wasn't that long, and it took us a few more minutes to arrive at our destination. Arm stopped the car and stepped outside to help me on the wheelchair. I was looking at how Off parked nearby and quickly jogged to us. His handsome face was frowning as if he was displeased with something. I find myself thinking, how the small wrinkles on his forehead don't necessarily make him ugly, and how the blazing eyes make him more attractive. My cheeks flushed with this unexpected thought, and I had to hide them with my palms.

The car's door suddenly opened, and Off was grinning at me.

"Let's get you out." he smiled at me. I searched for Arm wondering, where he disappeared.

"Move." The guy I was looking for said sharply from behind Off's body. He nudged his leg with a wheelchair. Off glared at him again, but moved to the side at the end. Arm quickly helped me out of the car, before the second man could do anything. I felt hopeless for the second time today. These two will be my death for sure. Arm pushed me forward, not even taking a second glance at Off, who was stomping next to my side. On the way to the pool, we didn't talk. Off and Arm kept sending each other death stares, completely ignoring me. I sight and let them be. Whatever problem these two have with themselves, should stop outside. I don't want to die by drowning.

"You two. Can you please stop this weird staring competition? It's making me uncomfortable." I sight as we were almost inside the huge building. They looked at me and finally realized that I am with them.

"Sorry cutie." Off smiled at me apologizing.

"Cutie?" Arm asked, his eyebrow raised. I saw Off giving him a winning smirk as I didn't say anything.

"Just stop please," I begged, clutching tightly the backpack that was resting on my legs.

We went inside the glass building. The entrance hall was big enough to accommodate a large number of visitors. We stopped before the front desk that was situated in the middle of the room. Arm greeted the worker as he took three keys from her. He threw one at Off, and he gave the second to me. The nervousness and fear overtook me as we entered the locker room. I have to change in front Off's eyes. He will see my sickening body. My slim weak legs. He will be disgusted and leaves. He will move out and never come back. I started to tremble with the thought of him leaving. I want him to stay.

"Hey cutie, do you need help with changing?" Off asked me concerned. I didn't realize I was spacing out that long. He was already in the swimsuit with his bare chest and well-defined abbs greeting the world. If I wasn't so terrified, I would be probably red as a tomato.

"Are you alright?" he asked again. I nodded, not trusting my voice.

"You don't seem so." Off pointed out. "You know, you can tell me, Gun. I am here for you." he gently stroke my cheek. I was staring into his eyes, trying to find even a small hint of a lie. But there was none. He was sincere with his words, giving me the confidence to speak out my mind.

"I am disgusting," I whispered as my eyes turned away from him.

What are you talking about?"Off scowled.

"My legs are unsightly, thin, weak. You will hate it." I murmured.

"Look at me Gun," he ordered me, but I didn't dare to look up. I was too scared, of what his face would tell me.

"I said, look at me." He gently touched my chin, pulling it up, forcing me to look at him. He crouched down to my level, placing his hands on the side of the wheelchair, trapping me inside as if he was afraid I would run away.

"Gun, you are not disgusting. I never thought of you that way. Whatever is inside your head, you should immediately forget it." he paused.

"You are the most beautiful creature I ever saw." he smiled at me. I was watching him, listening to everything he said with my heart beating so hard, that I was afraid it would jump out of my chest. Why I was so happy to hear it from him? Why my heart shakes in delight whit his words? A lonely teardrop escapes my eye as the tenderness of his speech fell upon me. His hand reached my cheek, gently wiping away the small trace of a tear on it. Our eyes met and the whole world stopped for me.

What is this feeling?
