Ricky's POV
-
I sat and ate the freezer burnt chicken nuggets in silence.
Why me? Why did she target me? Why did she want to kill me? What did I do to her to deserve this?
All I remember is walking across the street to the gas station to get a pack of cigarettes and I didn't even get to do that.
The guys must be worried sick. We have to leave out of here by midnight in order to make it to Tennessee in time.
I told the guys I would be back in ten minutes, ten minutes turned into two hours and I'm still not back. Hopefully they know something is wrong and are out looking for me right now.
I know that I'm never going to get out of here alive... This girl is a psycho. She obviously knows it too, why she hasn't seeked help yet? That is beyond me and she probably will never tell me because she has already made it clear that she isn't going to disclose much information about herself. I don't blame her, if I were a serial killer, I wouldn't tell much about myself either.
"Are you done eating?" Emmett asked. I nodded. I could tell that she hasn't lived a happy life, I can see it in her eyes.
I wonder how she's getting by, by herself. She practically still a kid. She's too young to be all by herself.
"Why me? Why'd you choose me to kill? What did I do to make you want to brutally murder me?" I asked.
"Your murder wasn't premeditated Richard. I knew I wanted to kill somebody, so I chose the first person that walked passed that alley that wasn't a cop. Might I add that this is the reason why you don't walk by yourself, downtown at night in a big city" she said.
"I'm sorry? I only was walking down the street to get a pack of cigarettes, I wasn't expecting to get kidnapped" I said.
"Nobody expects to get kidnapped. Nobody expects to be randomly picked off of the streets" she said.
"Will I ever get out of here alive?" I asked.
"I don't know, and if I did know, I wouldn't tell you" she said.
"So to what extent will your slavery be?" I asked.
"I'll figure it out, I'll probably make you clean and stuff, I don't know" she shrugged.
"That doesn't sound too bad" I said.
"If you knew how messy I can make the house, you wouldn't be saying that" she said as she put the plate in the dish washer.
"So Ricky, tell me, was your life before I abducted you?" She asked.
"Well, I'm in a band called Motionless in White, we were on tour, we were supposed to head to Tennessee tonight but I guess we can't now" I said.
"Hmm... What type of music do y'all play?" She asked.
"Metalcore, industrial metal, that type of stuff" I said.
"That type of music? Hmm... I like Marilyn Manson and that type of stuff, so I think I might like you guys" she said.
"You didn't strike me as the type to like Manson or any music for that matter" I said.
"I was raised to believe that Marilyn Manson was satanic and it's wrong to listen to him, so obviously I did the opposite of what my caretakers said and ended up like him" she said.
"What happened to your caretakers?" I asked.
"I'm not going to tell you" she said. Not wanting to piss her off, I didn't push the topic.
"What instrument do you play in this band of yours?" She asked.
"When I first joined, I was on bass but then our rhythm guitarist ditched us and I got made the rhythm guitarist" I said. She nodded.
