Elijah's POV

When Oliver leaves the bathroom, I sigh in relief, glad that I'm finally away from him and his friends.

There's nothing wrong with them and they don't make my uncomfortable, but I find myself staring at them and thinking about all the book I've  read growing up and I have to stop the urge of blurting it out every question that comes to mind.

My main one however is how in the world Oliver became friends with a Vampire in the first place.

I shake away the curious thoughts from my head and turn on the water like Oliver showed me before finally peking off my gross clothes. When I manage to get off my shirt, I suck in a breath when I see all the baby scratches along my torso, softly sculpting my body with the angry lines of red.

The crash yesterday has left my muscles more sore this morning than I thought and it makes me pause as I stand there and look in the mirror.

It's been only a day and a half since I managed to make my way here to the castle that has quickly nevis me the workings of a fairy tail inside my mind.

In only a day and a half I have somehow become almost obsessed with the kind man that helped save my life. I'm starting to think maybe my friends aren't too far off when they told me that I have my head too far in my books for my own good.

I sigh to myself and try not to think about the sad reality of my life before I begin getting undressed, taking off my pants ad I grimace slightly at the pain that has hair up my spine.

Once I discard the clothing, I'm quick to hop into the shower, my breath hissing between my teeth when I jump around the shower when I notice just how how it is inside here.

I quickly fix the temperature and sigh in relief when the water gets cooler.

Once it's to a good temperature, I reach for some soap lined up along the wall and laugh to myself when I realize that they too are all old school smells. I'm starting to think that Oliver's spirit animal is a mid aged man if not an old one and it's the funniest thing ever.

I make sure to take my time is washing my body as well as my hair, trying to ignore the way it makes the small cuts on my torso and legs sting a little bit. Once I finally begin to feel a little bit better and a lot like myself again, I get out of the shower, careful cutting it off before I grab the extra towel folded on a shelf.

I softly dry my body before I tie it around my waist before I sit down on the floor and unzip my other suitcase, opening it and smiling to myself at my comfy clothes that I've missed seeing.

I pull out a pair of fuzzy socks left, knowing that I love them too much for me not to, along with a sweat shirt that has a book work pun on it and a pair of sweatpants to match.

Pulling on all of my clothes after I moisturize makes me sigh in bliss after finally feeling soft and like myself after over twenty four hours from feeling gross and nasty. After I bath in the afterglow of my shower, I make myself get off of the floor and clean up my mess, not wanting to be a nasty guest and give Oliver yet another reason to be annoyed with my presence.

I place my towel on the rack is was on, folding it carefully before I close the shower and my suitcase, standing up with the bag after I get out my toothbrush.

I brush my teeth as I loom around the fancy bathroom and once more marvel at how different the insides looks compared to the grossness of the outside. When I had walked up I was sure that the residents of this place were living nasty and dirty and man I couldn't be more wrong.

I softly place my toothbrush beside the lone black one before I open the door and make my way across the hallway to the bedroom door that's still slightly opened.

Not knowing where else to put my bag, I roll it in towards the bed and let it sit there for now and notice the journal still sitting in the middle of the coffee table. I think about sitting down for a read but instead decide to place it on the side table closest to the wall so that zo can read it later this week when the snow makes everything dreary and boring.

Once I've abandoned all of my things in Oliver's room, I leave and close the door, walking towards the living room and I hear soft voices when I finally round the corner, finding Oliver with a glass of milk sitting on the counter as well as a bunch of oreo flavors lined up.

"Elijah, come save me from the imbeciles trying to force feed me chocolate cookies," He tells me, giving me puppy eyes with his golden gaze and I pretend like my cheeks aren't heating up as I glance away.

"I don't see anything." I say with a smile and he groans loudly as Eve laughs and the sound of the playful banter makes my smile as I join the group of people around me even if I do look a little weird.
