Kevin finally had a day to himself.
He most definitely wasn't over his Saturday shift, but it was okay because he had Monday off. Of course, it really messed with his OCD, but he was glad that he could finally relax. He might have went crazy if he had to tell another customer that there wasn't enough money in their account to take out as much as they wanted. Yeah, he might have just quit.
Which in all honesty, he could quit. It wasn't like he needed the money, his parents sent him some every month. No, he liked being independent. He liked the feeling of working for his own things. He would never change that. Unless he found some better job over night, he wasn't quitting anytime soon.
Kevin decided that he was going to spend the day walking around town with one of his friends. He didn't have very many, but the ones he did have were always nagging him to go out with them. So he decided that today was the day that he was finally going to take him out on that offer.
He called up his buddy Eric and let him know that he was off today. Eric then went off to tell him about all the fun things that they could do. Eric was a few years younger than Kevin, so Kevin always blamed Eric's high energy on the fact that he was so young.
Kevin had only caught one thing from Eric's ramble. And that was about a flower shop that he had recently found. Kevin had always loved flowers. He found them so calming, and beautiful to say the least.
So at 2:00, he found himself slipping his shoes on, left then right, and slipping his coat on before driving over to pick Eric up and to go to this flower shop that Eric seemed so infatuated with.
When the two boys got there, Kevin couldn't help but admire the flowers. For being on the worse part of town, this shop was really pretty. But there was something else that was super pretty of which caught Kevin's eyes.
He noticed the same boy from the grocery store was behind the counter. His attention was quickly put on something else though, when he noticed the Gladiolus Flowers.
They had always been his favorites. Not only were they so beautiful, they also symbolized calmness, something Kevin desperately wanted. So far though, those flowers were the only sense of calm in his life.
"Those are really pretty."
It was the grocery store boy.
"Yeah, they are."
"They symbolize-"
"Calmness."
"Yeah."
"Jacob! Can you help me? I really want these roses!"
Of course Eric had to ruin their cute little moment.
"Of course, I'll be right over."
After a few minutes of walking around, the two boys made their way to the cash register. Kevin hadn't gotten anything because he really didn't need to worry about the life of a plant while trying to tie his own together.
"You're total is 19,904 won."
"You didn't want anything, Kev?"
"I can get you those Gladiolus flowers, if you want."
"No, I'm okay."
"Alright. I'll see you tonight...?"
"Its Kevin, and most likely, yeah."
"Well I'm Jacob in case you didn't know."
"Wait you guys know each other?"
"If you count seeing each other on his mid night grocery runs, then yeah, we know each other pretty well."
