Gryffindor lost the quidditch match. Against slytherin. Don't ask me how- it was the last second of the game. Harry was racing against Malfoy, getting farther and farther ahead, and in the blink of an eye, he caught it. The snitch. No, not Harry. Malfoy.

Honestly, it was an embarrassment. Don't get me wrong, I love Harry to death, but losing the quidditch cup when we had "The Boy Who Lived" as our seeker, especially against slytherin, had the whole of gryffindor throwing themselves a pity party.

It had been 5 days since that fateful quidditch match when we were given an offer that was impossible to refuse. I headed down to the great hall from my dorm, meeting Luna, Neville, Harry, Ron and Hermione at our table. Ginny was still asleep in our dorm- Hermione had been working her to the bone, making her brush up on her history of magic since she was behind. We figured out a little after we all bonded in Dumbledore's Army that the professors didn't exactly care where we sat during meals, it was really only enforced during feasts or for first years.

"Nice of you to finally join us," Hermione said, not taking her eyes off her notes she was currently jotting down.

"Oh shove off 'Mione, just because you get up at 6 in the morning every day doesn't mean everyone has to," Ron defended, with a mouthful of- whatever it was he was eating.

"No, no, she's right. I mean, I didn't exactly get the best sleep. I had the worst dream that us gryffindors were surrounded by slytherins, closing in on us. Booing us and bragging about winning the match, you can imagine," I shuddered.

"Oh yes, I can tell, your aura is looking awfully pale today," Luna piped up in her usually dreamy voice.

"Not still crying about our win again, are we?"

"Great, Malfoy. Just what we need," I drawled, an uninterested look on my face.

"Lenora, I had no clue you were so fond of me. You should have let me know sooner," Malfoy smirked, a glint in his eye.

I caught, just for a second, a wink when I chanced a look back at him. I rolled my eyes a returned to my breakfast.

"Can I eat my breakfast in peace or will I have to starve? You know, losing my appetite just looking at your face and all."

"Oh please," He said with an eye roll.

"You know I'm gorgeous. Fine, I guess you've already suffered enough, the great gryffindors losing to us slytherins." And with that, he stalked off with that horrible smirk that never leaves his face.

"That was easier than expected," Neville finally said, skepticism in his voice.

"Nora, Malfoy's either up to something or I think he's got a soft spot for you," Harry responded in astonishment. I almost gagged.

"I'm not sure which is worse, but I think I'll bet on the former."

"Well we can't get our hopes up, we have double potions with him in... 12 minutes! Merlin, I've lost track of time!" Hermione exclaimed, scrambling for her books.

"Well, I might as well join you. If I go with you, I'll be early. Just in case Malfoy is up to something, I'd like to grab a seat as far away from him as possible," I sighed.

"Good call Nora, we'll come with you," Harry responded.

Ginny had finally joined us a couple minutes after we all got to potions.

Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Ginny and I all sat in the far left front corner, knowing that Malfoy routinely sits in the back corner on the right. Soon enough, Malfoy glided into the classroom with Theodore Nott, Pansy Parkinson and Blaise Zabini following along. Malfoy made a beeline for his regular seat, but Zabini glanced in our direction for half a second, then followed along.
