Catching feelings

They both get ready for school and head for the door. 

Of course they both meet each other at the corner every morning. 

Today Chaeyoung gets there first. Fresh and ready for school wearing 2 pony tails. 

'So cute' mina thinks as she sees Chaeng waiting for her. 

"Chaeng Chaeng!" Mina runs up to her and hugs her from behind. 

Chaeyoung blushes and smiles automatically. "Morning Mina Mi"

They stare at each other for a minute before Chaeyoung breaks the silence. 

Its not an awkward silence but comfortable as it's always been. 

Even though they had their first kiss and didn't know what it meant, it wasn't weird for either of them. It just felt normal. 

"lets go then" 

They get to school. both in a happier mood than most days. 'literally nothing can ruin this day' they both thought. 

Both had big smiles. they just kept catching glances at each other from time to time as they were walking to their first class with their hands flowing right beside each other, grazzing each others from time to time. 

Such a happy day when suddenly someone bumps into Chaeyoung. 

"Oww!" this person almost makes Chaeyoung fall over but mina catches her, that's how hard she bumped her. obviously on purpose. 

"Are you okay Chaeng?" Mina is still holding her in her arms. She looks up to see someone smirking from across the hall. It's that Somi girl again. 

"Watch where your going tiny." Somi says just starring evilly at Chaeyoung. 

"HEY! I told you if you ever did that again I would kick your ass!" Mina yells. and starts walking towards Somi but Chaeyoung stops her.  Somi is laughing as she walks away successful.   

"Oops didn't see you there, so smooool" She still manages to tease as she walks away still smirking. 

Chaeyoung is holding Mina back. "It's fine Mina she is such a loser and has nothing better to do." but Mina knows Chaeyoung is hurt even if she doesn't say it. 

Mina vowed to herself to not let that bitch mess with her bestfriend. 'as long as I'm here Chaeng Chaeng, no one will mess with you.' 

Mina tapped Chaeyoungs head while looking at her lovingly. they both smiled and both understood.

The day went on like any other except for all the secret glances between each other and the slight blushes that stayed on their faces all day.

Now they are walking home hands grazing each other just like before. 

They decided on Minas house. they went in but no-one was home. They both went to the fridge which is where their parent always leave notes just in case before they had cellphones. 

~at the Sons' house. We will have dinner there at 5~ 

Both looks a each other and nob. 

"Lets do homework?"  Chaeyoung suggests. 

"mmm I want a snack first." 

"and what does my lady want?" Chaeyoung says but then feel embarrassed, turning red.

"your lady? okay I am your lady from now on." Mina plays along and smiles showing her gummy smile. 

"your lady wants strawberries." knowing very well that is Chaeyoungs favorite snack.  Chaeyoungs eyes sparkled after she said that. Mina just chuckled. 

Mina took out the strawberries and started cutting just how she knows Chaeyoung liked it. 

She started to feed Chaeyoung little pieces and Chaeyoung did not protest. As long as it is strawberries. Chaeyoung will obey any order. 

They finished cutting the snack and headed to Minas room. 

"homework time and thanks for the snack Minari" Chaeyoung says still eating more strawberries.

" I don't want to tho Chaengie" Mina says in aegyo. 

"20 minutes and We will do whatever you want after okay? We'll get in trouble if we don't my lady." Mina looks at her with her eyebrows raised after she says that but Chaeyoung just pretends to be busy taking out her things from her backpack as she was clearly flirting a second ago. 

"Fine, 20 minutes. you know I hate doing homework. why don't you just do it for me?" Mina says and then winks. 

"silly" Chaeyoung boops Minas nose. "but no. now cmon. I want to be done already and then we have to go to my house for dinner. our parents are probably already drunk. you know how they get." 

"yup, god they are weird. Now I know where you get it from." Mina chuckles. 

"ha. ha. ha. like wise penguin."

20 minutes later and Mina is over it.

"are you done yet? are you done yet? are you done yet?"

Chaeyoung eyes mina and she is giving her a pout so she gives in of course.

"Fine what should we do now then? we only have 15 minutes till we have to go to dinner. I hope its strawberries." 

"we literally just ate strawberries, how can you want more cub?" Mina laughs. 

"you know I can't resist my favorites" 

"I thought I was your favorite?" mina pouts. 

"Yea you are and thats why I can't resist you either" Once again Chaeyoung thinks outload. 

They both stay quiet and stare at each other. Once again this intense stare that both don't know the meaning of. Their heads just automatically move towards closer. bringing them inches apart. 

Both not saying a word but both knowing and wanting what was gonna happen next. 

Their lips meet in the middle. Their eyes shoot open from surprise because they both can't believe this is happening. 

Neither even daring to remove their lips as they were both aware that the wanted to kiss each other. They both close their eyes again and start moving their lips in sync. 

Its been a couple of minutes and both didn't want to let go of each others lips. Chaeyoung grabs the sides of Minas face and brings her closer if even possible. It was a very soppy kiss indeed as it was only their second, but both liking every second.  

~(did you guys every have a middle school make out?  I did and it was gross. HAHAHA)~

They break apart and both are blushing. both smiling. both shy. 

"so cute." Mina boops Chaeyoung dimple. Her favorite part of Chaes face. 

 "So cute." Chaeyoung returns and pokes Minas nose mole. 

"ready?" Chaeyoung says,

"ready" Mina returns and they get up hold hands and walk to the Sons for dinner. 

Of course both girls knew nothing about what they were feeling. All they wanted was to be best friends forever. All they wanted was to be close to each other forever. "the best friend legends" Their parent would remind them any chance they could. And that was the plan. 

The forever. 

Would forever really be forever though? 

Theirs always that unexpected that you never see coming. the way you never expect your best friend to ever break your heart also the way you never expect to fall in love with your best friend...
