Chapter 11 : Thoughts After Meeting!

Zehra's POV:

After Afi has come out we decided to end our conversation and go back. We didn't even notice that we have talked for half an hour. I couldn't notice the time while I was with him.

We entered the house I was in front of while Afi and he was behind talking about something. I entered first and sat down on my previous spot and they settled down on their own.

After we came elders chatted among themselves for some more time and then they took their leave.

After they left I released a sigh of relief which didn't last long as I saw my Mamma's face.

Now I am gone!!

"Now would you care to explain why you were late when I have already told you to come early than usual? But no you always have to do your things, right? Do you have the slightest idea what impression that would have left on them?" She said in an angry voice.

"Mamma, I was about to leave from the hospital when there was an emergency case and there was no senior Doctor present on the spot so I have to tackle that case." she tried to explain but her mother was beyond angry and was not going to buy any of her reason.

"So have you forgot that you are only an intern and not an employee there, there have to be someone else who could have tackle that case! Par tumhe kyu har baar apni Mahanta dikhani hoti hai? (but why you have to always show your greatness?)" she was angry and was not understanding the meaning behind her words.

"What are you even saying, I am Doctor and that's my job to help people and he was dying there. Aap kya chahti the ki me us insaan ko Marne chod deti, kyu? Kyu ki mere Ghar par guests aye the? (What did you want that I should have left that dying person, why because I had guests to attend at my home?") she said angrily while standing up from her sitting position.

"Wo koi common guests nahi the Zehra, woh tumhare rishte ke lie aye the and Tumhari first impression hi kya hai ki tum late aai ho?!! (They were not any common guests, they were here for your proposal and your first impression was that you have come late?!!)" she was not about to back down and she doesn't know what was she saying in heat of the moment.

"Zubaida, let it be, don't stretch the matter, Everything has gone perfectly na!"Farukh said stopping his wife from lashing out at his beloved daughter.

"Zehra, Beta you haven't eaten anything since you have come, I will give you something to eat and Afiya you also come with me!" Aaliya said to her niece.

"I am proud of you beta you are doing an amazing job!" Razzaq said to her granddaughter patted her head and smiled at her.

She left from there giving a small smile and nod to her grandfather. She entered in the dining room and sat on her seat while her Badi Ammi gave her snacks and tea.

"Zehra, your Ammi was just worried you shouldn't have lost your temper. Now we are talking about your marriage and you should keep your temper in control otherwise it can lead to big troubles in married life!!" She tried to make her understand while caressing her head and standing beside her seat.
