My mind spins more than the rainbow swirl icecream in front of me. As I shovel spoonfuls of the decadent cream into my mouth, I wonder more of why Alice would hurt my dear friend. The night restless as the mystery clouds my mind.

"J if you keep gorging you will start gaining weight again," Xavier yells at me.

"At this point I do not care. My best friend f-ing killed herself, and I have no clue why," I scream hot tears streaming down my face.

"I know my dear, but you can't blame yourself," he sighs.

My anger rises and I holler in his face, "but I was her best friend and could not help her. I failed as her friend."

"You should not blame yourself for the secrets that she kept."

"But I... wait how did you know that. Alice shared that with no one but I."

"I have secrets of my own that are not truly mine to give."

"What?!?! You better stop with your riddles this instant. I cannot stand anymore lies."

"Than look inside yourself for the answers you know to be true," and with that Xavier left me.

His words confuse me more than I was before. I just wish for a straight answer that is all, but no all the people who know something are being stingy with it.

To clear my mind I heave myself off of the couch and away from my empty tub of love. I quickly shimmy into sweats and lug myself into the harsh wind and begin to jog.

My legs burn as feet turn to yards and yards turn to miles. Each step leaves a robbing pain in my feet, but the pain is warmly welcomed.

As my feet pound the ground I ram into an unseen tall stranger. I quietly apologize for ramming into him, and in return he hands me an envelope. Curiosity fills me as I continue my true thru the streets.

I find myself walking up Xavier's apartment where he lives alone. My heart pounds as my hand reaches to knock, but before I can do so the door opens. Xavier rushes towards me planting his lips on my own.
