I wake up early the next morning and pull out my phone to text my friend  Willow.

"Happy Birthday girly. Ready for school?"

I sit and wait and wait. Normally she texts me in the first few minutes, I wonder whats up.

About ten minutes go by and she still doesn't answer. So I get up out of bed and get ready. I take a shower, and then put on my outfit today, not forgetting the bracelet Willow gave me. I walk down stairs to my vehicle and drive over to school with her birthday presents in my back seat.

Something is up today I can feel it.

At school there is this one bench that some homophobes sprayed "fag" all over. Willow soon after words claimed that bench as our own. She say she did it because its a quiet place, but I beleive that she wanted to show people they can't hurt us. I sit there and wait, and wait, and wait. The bell rings and I still sit and wait.

Someone pokes my sholder and turn around almost snapping at them. Before ao I realize it's Willows little sister Kathrin.

"Oh hey Kathrin. Whats wrong," I ask seeing her tear stained face.

She sniffles and mumbles, "My mom made me go to school today but I can't face my class."

"Why," I push.

"We found Willow in her room. There was so much blood," she crys.

"What do you mean baby girl," I question not wanting to trust my gut.

"Willow killed herself," Kathrin balls.

Tears form in my eyes. 'It can't be true I was texting her just last night'

"J? Are you okay," she asks me taking her turn of being caring.

"Please tell me that this is a sick joke she planned," I beg.

Kathrin slowly shakes her head, and time starts to stand still. My body can't stay composed and I start bawling. Most of the time you hear of guys staying strong for the family and stuff; well I am not that guy.
