CHAPTER 1: Insincerity

Error sat in the middle of the antivoid, a sewing needle in his head. He was repairing his clothes again, since a part of the sleeves fell off again due to the constant barrage of attacks he gets during his "sprees". He didn't enjoy destroying or murder, but he learned why they were necessary. One time, he somehow prevented himself from going into a Destruction spree when the multiverse was at its max capacity...there was a lot of destruction that day. He had to quickly destroy the corrupted AUs and kill all the monsters before they would have gotten met with a terrible fate.

The Void.

A fate worse than death.

Error learned how to accept his job eventually. Soon, he didn't even have to rely on his "sprees" anymore. He could destroy on his own. Kill on his own. Guess you could say Nightmare's gang rubbed off on him. But it was for the better. He was able to get work done a lot faster.

When AUs weren't getting created so fast, Error used to have more free time on his hands. He used to used that time to learn how to knit and crochet. He made puppets for the Sanses he destroyed. I guess you could say that he gave them gravestones. But, Ink would've thought of it in a different way. First, he would deny that Error even made them, and then he would rather call them "trophies" than graves. If only he understood. Ink is the creator. Everyone loved him. Everyone listened to him. Everyone was "protected" by him. Ink was everything Error wanted to be. Ink thought he was the only one who had a right to create things. A being like Error is especially unable to create. Guess Error proved him wrong.

He felt the sharp pain in his soul. Like a knife slicing off a small portion of it. Error winced, producing a glitched grunt. Another AU. Another job. More LV. More gravestones for those he slaughtered. His ever growing collection on his ceiling was growing everyday.

Larger.
And larger.

His body count rose everytime he crushed a monster's soul with his bare hands.

Everytime he tore that child's soul out of their body.

If Error didn't visit Nightmare, he would be covered in dust. Sometimes even blood. Yet, he could never find it in himself to like it. This was his purpose. His duty. The reason he lived. He was Ink's opposite.

Yet, no matter how hard he tried, he never enjoyed it. Even if he was able to kill, he didn't enjoy doing it.

He hated hearing their screams.
The cries of children.
The begs and pleads for mercy.

It tore him apart on the inside. And the Star Sanses fighting him did not help.

He was emotionally, mentally, and physically broken. He looked like he came from hell and back. Not a good thing to look like.

Error decided to try something new. What if he actually hurt them? Since Dream and Ink were essential to their respective balances, he would only defend himself. But what if he focused on the offensive instead? What if he pierced his skull like how Dream's arrows did? What he blasted off Ink's arms like how he did? What would Blue think of him if he saw?....

Well. You know what they say.

An eye for an eye.

_______

"UgH...mY HEad hUrtS..."

Error got up from the floor of the Anti-Void. His skull was throbbing. Next time, he should make sure to dodge when Ink hurls "broomie" at him. His yellow phalanges scratched at his black forehead, small flecks of dust falling off from the action.

"gUesS I nEed tO Get bAck tO wOrk sOoN..."

Error got up, brushing off his shorts. He opened the multiverse's code, a small panel opening in front of him. He scrolled through countless copies, picking out the ones that he thought would be less painful to destroy, or just completely stupid.

Flowerfell #26...
Sixbones #9...
Flowey Possession #48...

......oh god. Error cringed at the next AU he saw.

Underlust #42.

Error detested Underlust. The monsters there love physical contact. Way to much for his liking. Plus, they were put through a tortuous state of heat constantly.. yeah. He's ending this place's suffering.

...

Undynetale #14...
No idea what he was thinking making that one.

Negatale #32...
Yandereswap #7...
Handplates #50...
Aftertale #3...

...

Disbelief timeline #248...
Last Breath timeline #140...

...

Error realized something. Ink created these AUs. He made them to suffer. Error exists to cease their suffering.

He realized that Ink wasn't the "hero" he thought he was.

"HeHeh... dAmN...nOt So gOoD aRe yOu, sQuId¿..."

Ink was more insincere towards his creations than he thought. But, what else should he think about someone who is soulless?

____

(I hate writing Error talking. But if I don't type it this way, I will just feel to lazy, aaaaaa-)

(Anyways, chapter 1 finished. So not worry, the build-up is coming soon. I expect the main stuff to happen in the next chapter or chapter 3. Thank you for reading this!)
