I just wanted to lay in the grass, feel the warmth of the sunset consume my bones, to be with... him.

It's true. Hinata liked someone. So, so much he would put their life before his. He likes them so much it could be considered unhealthy.

I want to be with Kageyama.

Whenever the boy thinks about Kageyama, his heart flutters. It's kind of like glass shattering into a thousand pieces. His heart feels forlorn when he's away from the other, but he could never tell him his feelings. He was nowhere near ready for that kind of expression.

Kageyama isn't one to express his feelings as well as Hinata can. Not only that, but Kageyama is oblivious to his feelings. It's like something important is missing from his brain. That's also like his heart shattering into thousands of pieces. It's not something everyone would understand, Hinata barely understands what it means himself, but his grasp on it gets tighter every day. The only way he could describe the broken glass was that each bit of it is something he loved about Kageyama, whether or not it broke his heart.

A heatwave came over the whole classroom, making the students groan aloud. Heatwaves were the worst, especially when the classroom has a half-broken fan as the only available air conditioning. The heatwave made everyone feel somnolent, but the heat brought in a sweet smell that melted Hinata's core. It washed over him like honey and he felt free from school. Like he was floating.

"Alright class, I know it's hot, but we need to get this done!" the teacher said with a hint of anger in her voice.

"But it's so hot! Who would want to work in this heat?" a boy shouted, standing up in his seat. Everyone's attention turned to him, all ignoring the sweat forming and dripping off their skin like hot honey.

The young boy and the teacher stared at each other for a while. It was almost like you could see the sparks in their eyes coming up with arguments as they stared. A breeze from the fan could be heard on top of the silence that washed over the classroom. The silence was almost eerie to listen to. No one made a sound.

"Fine," the teacher sighed, "You can go home! But at least do part of the homework!"

People got out of their seats and immediately left the classroom, not even stopping to say their "hello's" and "goodbye's" to friends.

But Hinata stayed in his seat. He remained to look out the window with his eyes closed and breathing slowly, taking in the hot air he could smell. His mind was focused and relaxed and after a few minutes of sitting there and thinking, he felt a nostalgia sensation from the smell. The delicate smell floated around him and ripped away the negativity within him. Is this what death feels like? Or is it just a dream? Either way, I don't want to wake up.

Peace was in the center of his mind. Everyone has gone home for a dose of air conditioning, or so he thought.

"Hinata!"

Hinata froze and opened his eyes. The voice was familiar and once he realized who it was his heart shattered and he got butterflies in his stomach. Hinata's mind went insane, he wanted to hug Kageyama so hard that he could break, but he held himself back.

"Ah, hey Kageyama!" he said, rushing to think of something to follow up his greeting.

"Hot."

His heartbeat was growing louder and louder. It sounded like someone could be walking inside of his heart and trying to break free. He could hear his heartbeat in his ears. The sensation of warmth grew in his stomach as Kageyama stared at him and he stared back.

I want to look at you longer!

"What?" Hinata managed to choke out.

"The weather. It's hot." the taller boy said in a monotone voice.
