To capture a heart|Charlie Weasley

Chapter 3

I hated the fact that Charlie would found out about me being a Mega-witch like this, what was I supposed to say afterwards? Is he going to hate me? Will I lose my best friend? All because I was to afraid to make him a target if anyone ever found out who I truly am 

Before I could bring myself out of my train of thought one of the death eaters saw me as their next target I barely got to deflect the first curse he threw at me before he shot the next he figured out by the way I was a Mega-witch and started sending cursed that would cause physical harm my way in quick succession trying his best to catch me as I was deflecting another one of his curses I had never had to use my powers in real combat before and by the way he was fighting this wasn't his first fight me has to have fought my mother once I decided the best thing for me to do was to create a force field for a few seconds so I could conjure an attack I figured the smartest thing to do was to use a blast of force to throw him towards the small group of death eaters that had the muggles floating above them 

The death eaters dropped the muggles as soon as they got hit by one of their own I quickly moved the muggles to where Arthur and Percy were standing, before the death eaters could get up 

I made brief eye contact with Charlie and all of my fears came true the look of betrayal in his eyes was enough to break my heart he was so hurt it was even more evident by his loud thoughts about how I lied to him our whole friendship I couldn't tear my eyes from Charlie as I heard the death eaters disappear and people running yet again but he barely looked at me as he shook his head and ran with his family towards the woods

That's when I saw it... The dark mark lighting up the sky above the forest that was what made the death eaters run away people started to panic even more now that it had appeared so I did my best to make it cloudy covering the mark but not the green glow of it before running into the woods in search of the others as soon as I was unable to be seen I transformed into my wolf form the only good thing about my werewolf genes mixing with my Mega-witch genes was that I could change at will it still hurt like hell and without the wolfsbane potion I would be more likely to hurt someone if I got angry but I was willing to risk it in order to avoid anyone asking questions right now

It didn't take long for me to hear Arthur yelling leading me to take off in that direction praying not none of them were hurt I stopped running fairly close to where I could hear several people yelling trying my best to stay low so I wouldn't be spotted I had already caused enough trouble exposing myself as the Mega-witch not thinking as far as to disguise myself I can hardly imagine how dad is going to react when I get home

"I'm sure she had a good reason not to tell you Charlie" Bills voice rung out from my left taking all of my attention

"That doesn't matter she should have told me if she was really my best friend she would have 'friends' don't keep stuff like that from each other she should have told me no matter what" Charlie boomed punching the closest tree that's when it really sunk in I had lost the most important person in my life, my best friend I lost Charlie and I don't know if I could ever get him back I had broken the most sacred promise we had made 

No secrets...

I let my feeling take control and I ran and I ran I just kept running I had no idea where and how far I was going to run all I knew was that I needed to go away for a bit I needed to clear my head before I lost control of both my wolf and human form 

I woke up being blinded by the sun I must have passed out from running so much I recognised where I was quite quick having played here with Charlie as a kid it was the forest right by the borrow and judging by the scent the others passed just a little while ago the bad thing about being able to switch from wolf to human by will was that my clothes did not follow my transition so I had to make my way to the borrow in my wolf form and find my backpack before I could change back

As soon as I cleared the trees and entered the Weasley garden Molly spotted me from the kitchen running to the door a hand clamped over her mouth this was the first time she had seen me in full grown wolf form she had seen me change a few times but never like this 

"Arthur figured you had changed after yesterdays events your backpacks in the bathroom lets get you changed honey" She said as I reached the door kneeling down to my level as I rested my forehead on hers as a greeting 

"Take the time you need theres plenty of hot water if you want a shower I'll have some food ready for you when you get back down" Molly smiled as she closed the door to the bathroom as soon as it was closed I changed back locking it before anyone could enter as I looked in the mirror it became apparent why she had greeted me with her hand clasped over her mouth I had claw marks leading from behind my left ear down to my chest likely causing the white fur of my animal form to be red from the blood I hissed as I touched it gathering my last bit of strength to heal it before turning on the hot water stepping under it letting all my tears fall with the rest of the water

I caught another glimpse of myself on the mirror before I left the bathroom I had a large scar where I had scratched myself last night my lack of power stopped me from being able to heal it further I was simply to tired so I would have to live with it for the rest of my life 

"I should go dad's properly worried sick thanks for letting me shower" I said standing in the door  to the garden where the whole house was gathered getting everybody's attention 

"Do you not want anything to eat?" Molly asked clearly worried 

"I should really go home to dad before he reads the paper" I said trying my best to smile as I waved goodbye to everyone teleporting home before anyone could say another word 

"Dad I'm back" I yelled as I entered the house knowing he was awake by now 

"Thank Merlin you're okay" He breathed as he hugged me tight 

"I'm so sorry I didn't know what else to do" I cried knowing he had already read the paper based on his reaction

"You did the right thing Lexa I'm so proud of you I'm just so happy that you're okay" He said kissing the top of my head rocking me as I cried once again
