So I'm rewriting the next few chapters as it didn't feel right the way they were
It had been months since I had heard anything from Charlie I had decided it was best for me to leave him be so I wrote him a letter explaining why I didn't tell him and left the ball in his court
I had moved out of my childhood home and into my own apartment in central London trying to get on with my life I had made new friends and got out more my new friends were all muggles so explaining why I was poorly for a week every month could get tricky so I usually said that I had to go see my dad when in reality I just stayed home spending most my time reading and trying to get trough the wolfsbane potion dad brought me

I was woken up by the sun shining in my face from the window over my bed it felt bittersweet to wake up on my birthday without Charlie's usual howler screaming at me it was his way of wishing me a happy birthday from Hogwarts he just kept doing it even when I was staying at his place I had realised how much I loved Charlie after the incident at the world cup I spent a month copped up in my room barely leaving my bed and when I did leave it I would take a ride on Ella trying to clear my head
The month after that I spent getting drunk at various clubs dad tried his best to help me he was even the one that suggested that I move out saying that getting away from what reminded me of Charlie might help and it did somewhat I still spent most weekends at clubs drinking however I wasn't alone I had Sophie and Maya
I had met Sophie first when she was a bartender after I had just moved out we go to talking throughout the nights and started hanging out during the day where she introduced me to Maya and the 3 of us became inseparable and I loved having out with them I was just a normal girl to them no mega-witch no werewolf just Alexa
"Birthday girl we brought you breakfast so get your little ass out of bed and come eat" Sophie yelled as she and Maya slammed my door behind them
"I'm up and how did you get in here I locked the door" I laughed as I made my way down the spiral staircase to the kitchen giving them each a hug
"It wasn't easy took a while to find your spare key you hide that thing very well" Maya said throwing me the key
"I know it's for emergencies only you could have knocked" I said putting it on the counter making a mental note that I had to glamour charm on it so they couldn't find it again or well so no-one bad would find it
"We hoped you were still sleeping so we could wake you up but of course you're awake do you even sleep?" Maya joked as we ate
"I do sleep but I'm used to being woken up at shit early to do chores or when I lived with Charlie he went to work at 5am so I'm just used to getting up early" I shrugged with a laugh
"Speaking of Charlie have you heard anything from him?" Sophie asked gesturing to the presents and cards at the end of the table
"I don't know haven't looked at anything yet dad dropped it off pretty late last night" I said looking at the pile of cards
"Enough sadness lets see what you got" Maya said excitingly

The girls had forced me out to celebrate not that I minded that much I was having a blast I wasn't thinking of Charlie I was just having fun
"Happy birthday Lex" I heard from behind me as I was ordering another drink
"Andre what are you doing here?" I asked upon seeing the source of the voice one of the few mutual friends Charlie and I had who also happened to be Charlie's Hogwarts roommate
"Charlie is home for a bit so we decided to go out did" He said as he gave me a hug
"Charlie's here?" I asked surprised that he even took time off to go home
"Yeah you can come sit with us so we can celebrate you" He beamed pointing to where they were sitting
"I'm here with some friends besides we don't talk anymore so I don't think that it's a good idea" I said trying my best to leave the conversation at that not wanting to get into it today of all days
"Lex come on I gotta pee" Sophie yelled grabbing my hand and pulling me towards the back of the club where the restrooms where as I yelled a quick goodbye to Andre
"Where's Maya?" I asked as Sophie fixed her make up in the mirror
"Properly sucking the face off some poor soul on the dance floor" She shrugged causing me to laugh
"Charlie's here" I blurted looking at her in a slight panic
"The American who was all over you a few months ago?" She asked seemingly not catching on to my panic reminding me of the guy I went home with one night who tried getting me to go on a date with him before he left again and he was sweet but I didn't feel like explaining why I send my mail via owls
"No Charlie Charlie" I said making her drop her lipstick and look at me mirroring the shock on my face
"Oh well in that case we are going to go out there and order a round of shots and then find you a cute guy to dance with and make him see what he's missing I'm not letting him ruin your night" Sophie stated sternly snapping her fingers over her head as she grabbed my wrist and we walked back into the crowd and to the bar
"Lex come say hi quick" I heard Andre yell as he grabbed my other wrist I pulled Sophie with me for support as I faced Charlie and our mutual friends along with Bill
"You have grown hot Lupin" Orion complemented looking me up and down earning a sharp blow to the ribs from Charlie who sat angrily in the corner
"I try" I smirked as I gave most of the occupants at the table a short hug Charlie still refused to look at me and the tension skyrocketed making it clear that nobody other then Bill knew that Charlie and I didn't talk anymore
"I need a smoke so bye guys" Sophie said thankfully sensing that now would be a good time to leave we luckily bumped into Maya on the way out and got her up to speed telling her we were leaving she wanted to stay so we said our goodbyes and parted ways
"Why didn't you say that your friends are smoking hot?" Sophie asked as she lit a cigarette offering me one too
"Because I haven't talked to them for a while" I shrugged lighting one of my own I didn't smoke often but I was stressed and needed one right now
