Trust

(Endeavor's P.O.V.)

     I've been assigned a mission and my partner for this mission is none other than Hawks. He arrived earlier than he did during our last visit. I haven't seem him for about a week. I don't have the confidence to just message him so I merely wait for him to begin conversations. I rarely have anything to discuss with him. He waved and smiled at me, "Hey Endeavor! Been a while." I nodded in response. "Hello Hawks. Have they  already informed you of the mission?" He nodded and stretched slightly. "Should we get going," he asked. "Yes." We began heading towards the location. Our mission today is to retrieve a device from a lesser known villain group. We aren't sure how they managed to get their hands on it but they did. When we arrive, I extinguish my flames. Hawks tucks in his wings as we enter the building. I'm depending on his senses so we don't caught. He stopped me and muttered, "There are three people nearby." I looked around. "What is the safest passage?" He gestured for me to follow him and I did just that. We stopped near the room the device was in and he sent a few feathers to knock the guards out. The feathers slipped inside and took out any other people who were in the room. We snuck into the room and the feathers returned to his wings. He is quite skilled. I'm glad to be partnered with someone like him. It's reassuring. He grabbed the device and we snuck out.

(Hawks' P.O.V.)

     That was easier than I thought it would be. I suspected that the big guy would get us caught somehow but he didn't. So we just need to turn this in and we're good. We eventually got to the main meeting building for heroes and walked in. We were greeted, complimented, the usual. I handed the device over and signed some stuff. I sighed in relief and looked at Endeavor. He was staring at me. Do I have something in my teeth?? I tilted my head. He cleared his throat. "Good work today, Hawks," he said as he walked away. He complimented me? Woah, I must've done something impressive if that's the case. I shrugged it off and walked out of the building. I began humming "King of the Clouds" as I flew around the city. That song has been stuck in my head for a while and I don't mind it in the slightest. I flew with a big smile on my face. I feel so very free. As if nothing could stop me. I started singing the actual lyrics without realizing. I wasn't too loud about it though. It's not like anyone can hear me but it doesn't really matter to me if they could.

     I was sitting on the roof of a building, swinging my legs back and forth. I took deep breaths. I love the cold air entering my lungs. It's all so refreshing. It makes me feel as though no one else is here. I close my eyes, smiling so much it started to hurt. I never want this to end. Suddenly, Endeavor popped into my head. Weird. My heart started pounding more than it had before. I opened my eyes. I haven't felt this way thinking about someone in a long time. I looked around curiously. Is he nearby or something?? Why would I start thinking of him out of nowhere?? I shrugged and stood. I let myself fall and eventually spread my wings, hovering. I wonder. Where is he?? I flew towards his agency's building and flew up to his office window. He apparently had new windows installed so that I could enter easily. I knocked and he turned in his chair. He gestured for me to come in and I did just that. I closed the door. "Whatcha up to," I asked, calming down. "Nothing but paperwork." I chuckled. "Boring."
