In the eyes of... Ciel Phantomhive

It was late at night. Lady Elizabeth had just left and I was in my study, pretending to work. In reality, I was hiding from Sebastian. I didn't want to see him. His strange behavior made me feel like.. he was going to leave me for some reason. And that upset me because.. I still hadn't taken my revenge. Yes, that is what upset me and nothing else. He couldn't leave before I'd done that, right? Then why was he smelling my hair one moment and being distant the next? He was trying to separate from me. That was the only explanation.

Tears welled up in my eyes as I thought about a life without him.

Come on! Why are you crying?! I screamed at myself in my mind.

I heard a soft knock on the door.

I quickly wiped my tears.

"Come in." My voice was stable. All though surely, Sebastian would notice something anyway.

"Bocchan," Sebastian looked into my eyes.

He sped over to me upon seeing my face.

"What is wrong, master?" He asked as he placed his hand on my cheek.

"Nothing!" I tried to push him away from me but he wouldn't move.

He forced me to look at him.

I couldn't help but feel sad by the realization that this face that had been by my side for so long was going to leave me soon.

A small tear escaped my eye.

Sebastian caught it with his finger.

His finger was shaking as he stared at it. Sebastian's eyes were glowing.

What the hell was wrong with him?

Sebastian brought his finger to his mouth and licked my teardrop off.

...I had no idea how to respond to that.

Sebastian stayed still for a moment. His eyes gleaming in delight.

I was even more confused than before now. I opened my mouth to speak but Sebastian spoke before I could.

"Let's get you ready for bed."

...

I lay in my bed but I couldn't sleep.

I decided to call Sebastian over.

"Sebastian!" I called.

A second later the door opened. Sebastian peeked into the room.

"Yes, bocchan?"

"Stay with me until I fall asleep." I said quietly.

Sebastian didn't respond for a while.

I sat up.

"Are you deaf? Get over here."

"I don't think it's such a good idea." Sebastian said.

"What?" What was he talking about now?!

"I just believe it's better if-"

"I don't care what you believe! I'm telling you to stay here so you stay! You're my butler so you do as I say!" I raised my voice.

Sebastian looked away.

"I'm waiting for your answer, Sebastian." I crossed my arms.

Sebastian got down on one knee and put his hand over his heart... If he had one(?)

"Yes, my lord."
