I wake up and notice Eddies already awake.

"Hi."

"Hi Eds" I say with a smile.

"I wanted to talk to you about something" I say with a serious look on my face.

"Is everything okay, Richie?"

"Eddie, I need you to be completley honest with me."

"Okay" "where did you get those bruises?"

He turns around and avoids answering my question.

"Come on Eddie, please tell me."

He slowly turns back around "Henry. He beat me up because I'm a 'faggot' and a 'cock sucker'. So yeah, thats where I got those bruises from. Are you happy now?"

I lay there in shock wondering how long ago this happened. I pull him closer to me and rub his head.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know."

"He told me not to tell you. I was scared what would happen so I didn't tell you."

"Can you tell me exactly what happpened?"

He nods his head and begins speaking.

Flashback

As I was walking out of the school doors, I suddenly got pulled aside. "Hey fag! Where's Richie?" "H-hes not here today. He's s-s-sick." He looks around to make sure no one's near and then punches me in the face. "You stay away from him. Do you understand me! You will not rub any of your gay shit on him!" I dont answer so he continues punching me, leaving bruises with every punch. "Stay away from him faggot!" "I c-can't! We live in the s-same house." "I dont fucking care! Find a way!" He punches me one last time and leaves. I decide to walk to Bills house so Richie doesn't worry. *Knock knock knock*. Bill opens the door and sees my face is bruised and bleeding, he gives me a hug and welcomes me inside. "What happened? Are you okay?" "Henry beat me up and yeah I'm alright." "Thank you for coming to me Eddie. Follow me this way and I'll bandage you up, okay?" "Thanks Billy." He grabs out the first aid kit and puts antibiotic ointment on my cuts. "Have any more?" I take off my shirt and roll up my pants. "Aww you poor baby, I'm so sorry." He gives me a hug and then continues to bandage up the rest of my cuts. When he's done he says, "be careful okay?" I nod my head and he gives me another hug. "I'll go get you another shirt and wash this one since its all bloody okay?" He walks away and then comes back with a shirt I left here last time I came over. "Thanks, I better get going before your parents get home." "Okay, bye Eddie!" "Bye Billy, thank you!" I say walking out the door and heading home."

"I'm so sorry Eddie. I'm going to do something abo-"

"No, no, no! You can't! He's going to hurt me again!"

"Okay fine."

I can't just let Henry do this to him without doing something about it. He rolls out of bed and holds out his hand to help me up.

"We have to go to school."

"I dont want to" I say pouting.

"Richie, your grades are already bad enough. At least show up" he laughs.

I sigh and walk over to get clothes. I turn around and notice he's staring at me with a smile.

"What clothes do you want to steal today?" I ask already knowing what he was going to ask.

He runs over to me and giggles.

"Can I have a shirt and a sweatshirt?" I hand him them and he goes to change. I pull out clothes for me as well and begin to change into them. I turn around when I'm done and realize Eddie was finished too and was already getting his sneakers on.
