"Search up Hawkins, Indiana."

"Alright, searching now. It's 18 hours away."

"That's where my dad is. In a labratory, being tested. He's alive" Richie hugs me and gives me a kiss on the forehead.

"Didn't they have a funeral for him?" Bill asked "closed casket. When the accident happened I guess some people took him for experiments."

"But what did the EMTS and the police do when there was only one body in the car?" Beverly asks continuing to look up things about Hawkins.

"I don't know, they never mentioned seeing only one body."

"Guys, look. It's the lab"

"Hawkins National Labratory, I wonder if they make alien space ships in there?" Richie asked "we have to go there."

"Eddie, did you not hear me? It's 18 hours away, how the hell are we supposed to get there?"

"I have a drivers license we can all save up money to buy and RV so we can have a road trip" Bill says.

"How are we supposed to make money?" Richie asks.

"You can sell all of the weed you have" Beverly chuckles.

"Yeah that's true Richie, save some for yourself. Sell the rest."

"Fine."

"I have a couple hundred bucks from my dad" Stan replies.

"Alright everyone, pack your bags. We leave tomorrow. Bring any weapon, we don't know what we're getting ourselves into."

They all nod their heads and leave to go pack.

"Are we really doing this?"

"It's my dad, Bev. He's alive, I have to help him."

*Time skip to before they leave*

"Do you have everything?"

"Yeah, I think. Wait let me check again."

"Richie did you sell all of your weed?" Beverly asks with a chuckle.

"Not all, but most" he smirks.

"Okay, is everyone ready?"

"Yeah"

"Yes"

"Mhm"

"Alright lets go" Bill pulls out of Beverlys drive way and turns on his GPS.

Richie rolls down a window and begins smoking a cigarette. Stan is sitting up front near Bill and me and Beverly are in the back playing cards.

"Uno!" She shouts.

"That's not even what we're playing."

"You're playing uno? I want to play!" Richie says stubbing out his cigarette and running over.

"No, we're not-" I sigh and throw my cards on the table.

"I'll deal!"

"No I will!"

"I'm older!"

"Well I'm a girl! I deserve to deal!"

"Stop fighting like children, my head hurts" Stan calls from the front.

"Richie, let Bev deal" Bill responds after Stan speaks.

"But-"

"Haha!"

She begins dealing the cards and then starts the game. I look out the window and watch as my home town raced passed me. Up until this day, I've never left Derry, besides before I moved of course.
