Crystals of the past

Chapter 2: The boy from the past

        It was strange, being in the black abyss that was my mind. I wasn't sleeping but nor was I dead, just unconscious. Their was no light here, only darkness that held never ending shadows. It was if the sun had completely disappeared takeing with it the light that it had once blessed us with. This dark void held nothing to do but think and attempt to listen to my so called surroundings. I thought about everything that had happened to me so far into my life and attempted to remember the pieces of my past.the more I thought the more I could hear, increasing my confusion. Then I remembered....I'm literally trapped inside my mind. There was nothing here but the depths on my brain. With this new found knowledge I still found this development slightly disturbing.

        If I truly was trapped in my mind wouldn't I be able to access certain memories? With that thought in mind or I guess I should say the area around me ( a/n get it cuz shes trapped in her mind? i suck at jokes >_

        There were to many different memories to look at I needed a faster way of looking for them! I tried to recall the way they looked as I last saw them in the rain. They had pink hair and onyx eyes but that was all I seemed to recall... Soon my brain registered my thoughts and brought up memories that included pink hair and onyx eyes. I looked at the video like thoughts and attempted to make out what I saw. It seems that since I cannot  completely remember the person or how we met so it distorted the images surrounding me. I tried to remember if it was a boy or a girl to see if that would make the images clearer. Nothing happened when I tried imagining them as a girl so that was immediately tossed away. Sure enough the image become clearer.

        Soon enough I could completely make out the boy from my past. The only thing that still alluded me was how we met. Then it hit me...I could smell him in the rain... I hadn't connected the dots at the time but now that I think about it he had smelled like another dragon slayer. OK so he smelled like a dragon but what was the other scent.....smoke? I've never heard of a smoke dragon from Crystala but she did mention one about fire! He must be the fire dragon slayer! Wait now I remember Crystala took me to meet her mate Igneel! Who in return had his own dragon slayer named....crud what was his name.....it was Natsu now I remember the little twerp!

        I started looking for the specific memory in order to recall more about him. Soon I had found the day we met it wasn't long after I had met crystala so there's no wonder I didn't remember him. I remember crystala telling me to be on my best behavior and that we were going to be visiting a very special friend of hers which I found out later was truly her mate. I hoped up on her back as she flew us to igneels little did I know I'd have to deal with a little boy named natsu......

        "Crystala okaasan, are we almost there yet!", I wined to my mother. Why did she have to drag me all the way out here just to meet some friend of hers!

        "Were almost there young one, the clearing it just ahead where my dear friend Igneel lives along with his son."

        "Haaa!"I exclaimed, " You never told me igneel had a son! Does that mean I'm gonna meet two new dragons! Sugoi!" Two dragons in one day im the luckiest kid ever!

        "That's not quite what I meant dear...well you'll see ounce we get there...ah here we are!"

        I was so excited! Crystala the only dragon I've ever met that I can remember and know I was gonna meet two more! I don't really understand though on what she meant when she said not quite but oh well! We had just arrived at the clearing and it was huge! I never knew a place like this existed in the middle of a forest! But why are some of the trees burnt down? As I was thinking this a great red dragon appeared in front of us! But where is the other dragon mama talked about?

        "Crystala its so great to see you my gem!" Igneel boomed. I gotta wonder though why did he say my name?

        "Um Mr. Igneel mamas name isn't Gem mine is, her name is Crystala Mooneil! Shouldn't you know this? I thought you to were friends!" I exclaimed in a confused manner. What I said had seemed to make Mr.Igneel laugh and even Crystala laughed. As this was going on I heard a boys voice call out from behind us. What I saw wasn't what I thought when my mom had said Igneel had a son..

        "Daaadd! Whats all the noise about? Can't you give me five more minutes?" A human boy walked out from the forest into the clearing while rubbing his eyes. He only seemed to be a bit older then I am. I guess he didn't know that we were gonna be here today! Either that or he just doesn't pay attention!

        "Your not very observant are u?" I asked the boy. At my statement it caused the dragons to roar with laughter again and for the boy to focus his attention on me.

        "Ehhhh!!! Who are you! Dad why is there a girl and another dragon here! Wait are they both girls!" The pink hair boy ran up to his dad screaming this while jumping up and down. He doesn't have very good manners does he!

        "Natsu calm down son this is my mate Crystala and her daughter Gemilie I guess you could say you two are brother and sister!" Igneel explained...wait I'm this dim wits sister!

        "Ehhh!! him/her!" Natsu and I exclaimed at the same time. We then looked at each other and glared.

        "Stop copying me!" We shouted once again in unison. All of a sudden I heard our parents laugh at us.

        "I think you two young ones will get along just fine." Mother said to us. As if this kids a copy cat and a boy at that! As me and the boy the boy bickered back and forth and play fought we soon grew attached to one another as if we truly were siblings. Around the end of the day we promised that if we ever met again in the future we would always be there for one another when we both needed it. At the end of the day I left with my mother and went home I never went to visit with them again because I was to focused in my training hoping to make my mother proud. At night after I was fast asleep sometimes Crystala would go to visit but only when she was sure I was safe. I never did see natsu or igneel again at least that was until today....

hey guys sry it took so long to finally update i actually feel into depression for a while and hadnt felt like doing much....but my friends were a big part on helping me recover from my loss and im planning on trying to update a lot more often then i ever did i may even do another update tomarrow who knows im just getting excited though to get back to this story for those who still look for updates and that are reading this thank you for hopefully enjoying my story give me ideas for something to happen and if i think it will fit in with what im trying to do ill add it in! love you all!!
